Do you girls find overweight guys ugly??

Seeing all the weight, status, girl topics we are having I must ask in the most direct way possible

Do you girls find a fat guy ugly?

I ask this because this afternoon me and two friends went out with 3 girls. To eat some sea food. The thing is one of my friends is fat, not really FAAAT but he is like 1.65 and chubby he isn't nerdy at all and he has had some action. And this is why

His personality, seriously the guy is very fun to hang out with, he isgreat with ladies, he also is hilarious tells good jokes and well a nice person.

Anyway we all went eating had a couple of drinks and were talking to these three ladies, who were in fact smart, they could talk about politics, social stuff, movies and well they had education not like some I've encountered that ask "Are buffalo wings made of buffalo? :|" We had a pretty nicelunch and well we flirted and all but nothing really serious I have a GF so I was there just because I was doing a favor. My friend the fat one, kept making us laugh and made the enviroment enjoyable and it seemed as they were really enjoying his company.

But at the end of the encounter when we were outside and about to say goodbye my friend (the fat one) got a phone call and walked a little farther to answer it. Then the girls give me and my other friend their number and their messenger address, my other friend wanted some action so he was pretty excited, me being curious asked

"Don't you want me to give you my friend's (the fat one) number?"

They said

"Oh, no don't bother"

"Yeah, he's fun and all but we'd rather date you guys"

"Why?"

"Well....I don't know he is nice and cool to hangout but you guys look better, there I said it"

And well they kept talking and after a little more info I conlcuded that they didn't want to date him because he is fat (even though he has a car and money). This made me think about all this dating and love stuff, does this mean that fat guys are doomed to fail? Save for when a girl has pretty low standards?

Itisn't the first time that this happens, most tv shows, and in real life usually the fat guy is picked last, even on sports when kids try are picking their team mates the last ones are the fat guy and the asmatic guy, the asmatic gets picked first.

Now you girls might say that those girls where shallow, I don't know maybe they were but when stuff like this becomes very common, I highly doubt it's a reasonable explanation. If it were then most girls if not all girls would be shallow :?

Sounds like that girl answered the question for you. But really, it's not that straight forward. Generally guys a more focused towards the physical attraction while women can find the right personality just as attractive as a good body, etc. But when you're younger (which I'm assuming you, and those girls were) the lines are a bit blurred. Obesity is also unhealthy, which will naturally put them off, it may also give off the impression that they're lazy, which is not always the case, I know.

Don't everyone have sexual interest to each type of body out there? some people prefer heavy built guys/ some prefer just skinny/ some could care less that you have little extra, some might prefer fatter people, some prefer tall/shorter

No I mean 180 pounds not 1.8m, I'm 5'6''.

Well it really depends on the girl. Not everyone has teh same tastes but most women seem to be attracted to men that have a lean body. And just because your friend is fat doesn't mean he is destined to fail with girls. Personally goes a long way, he just needs to find the right girl and spit some game at her.

There is a limit, i don't mind some girls with some meat on the bone, but fat fat no thanks.

Girls are not asthetically attracted to men, then are attracted to other qualities. I've broken them down into 4 groups.

1. Wealth - Basically women want a man who can provide for them. Some women don't need much, and some are already provided for so it's not always an issue.

2. Protection - Women want to feel protected. If she doesn't feel like you could protect her she won't like you.

3. Social - While many women say they like a sense of humor, it's actually they like men that are social. A man they can take to parties and show off, or be social w/ them.

4. Cleanlyness - This is the one that has the most to do w/ this thread. I often feel this is the biggest advantage you can have when first meeting a woman. Basically think of yourself as silverware... if you want to be inside here mouth you better not appear dirty.

Fat guys are at a bit of a disadvantage due to the stereotype of the fat disgusting slob that gives many fat guys a bad name. When some women see a fat guy they see a sweaty, smelly, greasy mess, and obviously they're not going to be attracted to that.

Well there's chubby fat and fat fat. Fat fat isn't attractive. There's one guy in my class that's chubby fat but he's adorable, he has a great personality and everybody likes him. I would probably date someone like him.

Well, there's a difference between being overweight and just flat out fat. Your friend is shorter than I yet weighs at least 100 pounds more. I don't think I'm an extremely shallow person all-in-all, but everything else has to be pretty f***ing spectacular in order for me to really consider him in that way at this point in time.

It probably matters more to me if they're accepting of my body than I'm accepting of theirs though.

Edit: Misread 220 lbs for 250 (I'm not that light :P), so disregard the second sentence in the previous statement. He's still probably pushing it though.

This is not true at all.

Ya they do (speaking first hand here) however I honestly don't think they judge you that quick and will be nice even if they don't find you attractive. I have also found (had a few GF's) that girls are able to get past looks a little bit easier than guys, but it's still a fact that anyone overweight will be unnatractive to almost anyone.

You could be ugly either way but keeping yourself healthy is better.

From what I've seen so far (5'5" 220lbs) he's got a very slim chance. His personality may be nice but his weight is a different story. It's never too late though.

from my personal experience being a guy, we seem to be more forgiving of a womans weight than they are of ours.

Imo, fat people look disgusting, regardless of gender, and I fully support them feeling bad... If no one made them feel unwanted, or what not... they'd never consider not being disgusting and losing weight.Inconsistancy

This is not true at all.

It's psychologically sound. When asked about their ideal mate women girls mostly w/ non physical attributes. When they respond w/ physical attributes they are for non-physical reasons. For example women say they like taller men because they are generally more successful, liked, and they make them feel safer.

Come on guys, quit generalizing. All women are different, some just want to feel loved,some just want to be poked between the legs, and then there's everything in between. We're not all evil :(
