I plan on getting one, or a few. Tattoos can be meaningful (like the one I hope to get), so it's not always something you regret. If you think it's stupid to get a tattoo or that it's "dirty" (what my family says) just watch Miami Ink. A lot of those people get tattoos to remind them of a special event in their past, or a person they lost that was close to them.

Maybe you are boring, but I love art/drawing/etc. and tattoos are something I'd get because they are art, and they are for something in my life. I would never get a tattoo because it "looks cool."

I've found that most people I know who get tattoos are getting them to show them off in an effort to appear "badass" or "deep." It seems they get them to remind others of "X" event instead of themselves. It's just a way to garner attention.

Yeah, the worst offenders I find are tattoos that actually have no meaning at all. As if people get them purely on the basis that it 'looked good at the time' or something similar.

I mean, that's nice and dandy and all, but this is a permanent thing we're talking about, not a removable sticker. I don't understand.

I completely agree. I remember one of my buddies from freshman year in ROTC, who happened to be from China, telling us how half of these asian tattoos don't mean what they were intended to because of the complexity of the language. He said he saw one that meant something like "DOG CHICKEN." :lol:

I've only got one and each time I post it I usually get one or two people saying it's pointless, what does it mean etc. *pic* It doesn't mean anything, I just got it. (Only picture I've got of it, so sorry for bad quality/it being all bloody)Brainkiller05

No quite finished, but I'm proud of it. Yo guys keep complaining about it permanent, that it will be there forever. Laser Technology has come a long way and it not as expensive to remove a tattoo, as it was it the 70's. If I don't want my tattoo, I'll take it off.
