Do You Guys Actually WANT A Zombie Apocalypse?

A lot of places on the internet these days post random things about how a zombie outbreak may occur, and a load of people I see actually anticipate it more than fear it. Honestly, it's cool in games, but why would anyone want it in real life? The constant fear of being eaten alive, the possibility of having to kill your infected loved ones or wait for them to kill you, watching the major things in your life like TV, games and even the internet go down one by one as the infection spreads further. Yay... sounds great, right?

I imagine a fair few are being silly, but I do in honesty have two friends who openly admit to wanting it. So I figured they wasn't alone.

Just for the record, I seriously wouldn't want it too occur.

I know someone from my former workplace who genuinely would like a zombie apocalypse to happen.

Yes because it would be cool, no because humanity would fall, all posessions become worthless, people I know would definitely die and I'd probably have to shoot them, I'd constantly be on the run living in a constant state of fear, and I would more than likely die myself.

No. Some would, others would be highly valued.

Of course not. But that isn't to say there wouldn't be a silver lining if one actually happened. Excitement, the ability to fire off shotguns at slow moving, shambling corpses, the thrill of living on the edge and being able to break into stores and take whatever you want. Being allowed to stop worrying about things like work email or work politics, house mortgages, little yappy annoying neighbor dogs, etc. Nobody in their right mind would actually wish for a zombie apocalypse. It would mean the death of millions and millions of people and the complete breakdown of society. But most people would honestly admit when pressed that there is an attraction to the element of danger and throwing off societal constraints, etc.nocoolnamejim

You won't be bumbling around and splitting up with people to suddenly have a zombie come off camera and bite you.

I don't see what the difficulty is seriously... They're dead, slow moving unthinking things. You can literally walk up and baseball bat their head.

What surprises me is in all these movies none of the people fortify their locations. Dig a moat, put spikes in it, set up a fence with wire, anyone whose bitten is immediately quarantined.

That stuff's cool in games and movies, but in real life? No, never. I wouldn't be able to handle.
