Gamestop has a horrible reputation from gamers and for really good reason. The gutting of brand new copies of video games, the scratching and dirtying of discs when moving them into those small little paper envelopes, the lack of care for their used products that are in plastic bags hanging on the wall, the horrible treatment to their own employees, etc. I stopped supporting Gamestop years ago and strictly buy my video games online or at work (Target). At least when I buy new video games, I can rest assured that all bonus DLC and any cool things that come with the game will actually be there with the game. One time I bought a "brand new" copy of Resident Evil 2 for Gamecube at Gamestop and the manual was missing because the games case was on the shelf where anyone can go grab it, open it, look inside and take whatever is inside. I was pissed because the guy sealed the case with their special tape before I could see if he put everything in it. He didn't and he didn't tell me the instruction manual was missing. Obviously I could not return it the next day because I opened it.
Today I go to Gamestop to buy a used game to see how I like it and then return it in one or 2 days for a full refund. I've had times where I would even say it in the store in front of the manager. He gives me bad looks when I come by every time lol. It's not like I'm hurting anyone though and it's not my fault Gamestop is such a POS company so, I come in, buy it and then come back the next day. One of the employees even tells me, "See you tomorrow?" when he rings me up. I usually do it weeks apart but lately I have been doing it almost 3 times a week. I'm starting to feel like they might put me on their blacklist and prevent me from buying anything from their store soon. I wouldn't really mind being blacklisted from Gamestop but I would miss "renting" games before buying them instead of relying on Youtube for gameplay and peoples opinions.
Is anyone here doing what I'm doing or am I nuts?
