Also how do you think you got so tough, and what is the worst thing you endured.

I am not superman but I have been noticing I can take more damage. I used to get beat up a lot as a kid(not seriously but play fighting), and wrestling really helped. I have been hit in the nuts and only wined for 3 seconds(that is pretty hardcore by man standards). Also due to wrestling it barely phases me when someone tries to hit me.

I don't really have a high tolerance, but I took a tattooing just fine. It didn't actually hurt, though, so that may have factored in.

I have a high pain tolerance. If I have a canker sore or fever blister, I poke it with my tongue, bite it, and even touch ketchup to it when I'm eating. It hurts, but it's kind of exciting.

I don't self-harm or anything, but I'm able to rationalize pain to the point where it's just another sensation. I do this by concentrating not on the fact that it hurts, but rather how it physically feels. Like if I cut my finger, while I'm cleaning it out I'll focus on the sensation of my skin seperating when I pull it apart. It's not something you feel everyday, I guess I just find it somewhat novel.

The only pain I can't tolerate is food poisoning. That crap hurts!

The worst thing I've endured is when my heart felt like a knife was scraping at it. It scared me. But that's all over now.

I have a pretty high tolerance for it. That, or it's just easy for me to shut it out of my mind.

I had a kidney stone once (didn't have to pass it; it dissolved in the ureter), and I can honestly say it wasn't terrible. Worst pain of my life, but certainly not debilitating.

Ye I would say I do. I played hockey for a month with a sperated shoulder and no feeling really in my arms. Although one time playing tennis I took a smash straight to the nuts and took like 10 minutes to get up. I had like a nasty friction burn on my sack after that.

Have you guys played the game where you punch someone, and if they rub it you punch them again twice in the same spot(god help you if you keep rubbing it). The more you hit someone in the same area the more it hurts, until it goes numb. Its one of those games that puts hair on your chest.

It has a lot to do with self control, I am good at not reacting and being quiet.

Not quite that, but I've played shot for shot in the face. I always win at any shot for shot, cuz I can stand it more, even though I have some of the weakest punches.

I have a high tolerance, I usually tell myself that it's just another sensation simply telling me that there is harm being done in that area, I also keep telling myself that nothing can last forever so this pain will go away eventually and this really helps me.

I'm finding myself becoming more resilient to pain that I used to be. I once fell off my bicycle and damn near broke my ankle and elbow, but as soon as I fell off, I got myself back up as if it was nothing. Same goes for when I attempted a dropkick to my friend (playing around) and landed on my ribs. A second later, I was back up and running again. I need this resiliency if I want to be a pro wrestler, so it's all good. I will continue to condition myself to take even more pain. :P

I was once given a clean punch to the nose, but I didn't fall to the ground despite my nose bleeding constantly. Nowadays, I just push myself to the limit when testing my cardio. Just recently did 3 miles in 15 minutes,. It killed me, but at the end of it I felt great.

I'm very sensitive to pain, but I can withstand a lot of it, I suppose. What I mean by that is that I definitely feel pain very easily, but I can usually tolerate it to a point.

I can endure a lot of pain. Don't know how I got that way.

I had a GIant Piece of Glass stuck in my foot, Literally sliced the bottom of my foot open. Embedded, I didn't know so, I was walking around for a few days before I noticed a deep gash in my foot. I pulled it out with a pair of Tweezers. :D

People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf. - George Orwell.

Well, I'm a rough man, doing a rough man's job. As far as pain, outgoing mortars hurt your ears... it's inexplicable... uparmored HMMWV doors have smashed my fingers (with gloves, but they're still 200 lbs apiece), and I was on fire for close to 10 seconds one time, but that didn't hurt. I think my tolerance rises with the more pain I endure.

Me? Probably not. When I contracted pneumonia and my lung filled with fluid, the doctors had to poke several holes through my rib cage and insert drainage tubes. When the draining started and that suction kicked in, four people had to hold me down because the pain was very intense.

don't mean to brag, but yes I have the highest pain threshold of anyone I've met and numerous hospital workers have told me that too. I broke my foot in four places in the beginning of a fight and didn't tell anyone or let on until I had limped home on it afterwards because I didn't want anyone to know that he had hurt me :P

I've also had a major intestinal reconstruction (they took out my intestin, cut a piece out then reconnected it (disgusting I know)) where they screwed up the epidural so that all of the numbing and pain control was located between my knees and my feet. So they couldn't give me anything else for three hours due to them being scared I would O.D.. The doctors said basically anyone else would have been unconcious and with some people they would have actually been fearful of them potentially dying due to the bodies shock reaction. I'm not saying I didn't complain or anything it hurt like a **** and I swore at a lot of people out of frustration and definately showed plent of signs of pain but I'm pretty sure the vast majority of people would have been unconcious or in SEVERE shock.

I've cut off pieces of my flesh with scissors before and I found the pain to be completely tolerable. Don't ask why I did this, I can't provide you with a logical explanation - it just felt like the right thing to do at the time. Also I had a fractured tooth that I didn't have treated for 2 weeks. Basically it was a constantly blistering sharp pain that wouldn't go away even on strong pain medication like Vicodin. If I truly wanted some peace I'd probably have to get pure morphine. In my opinion, I think that the average person would probably go insane from this, but I kept going with it like nothing was wrong. Except for the part where I would only be able to sleep for about 30 minutes before waking up again, not to mention the giantic migraines I got. Then I finally went to the dentist and had it pulled with no anesthesia involved. That hurt like a ****, I had to clench my fist but it was alright after a couple minutes. You know after that experience I think that having my limbs blown off wouldn't be so bad. And broken bones aren't bad either, I find the pain tolerable, it only sucks when you're trying to walk on a broken foot cause it's near damn impossible to do it, not cause of the pain but because your foot just doesn't work properly.

I had a very high tolerance..... I could take all of it without moving or whimpering at all. But after the years of it every week it took it tole and its not as high. But still above average I'd say.

Yes, i do i found that out when i dislocated mywrist and fractured my arm both at the same time during a basketball game , i had one doctor spinning my hand in one direction and another one holding my arm to relocate my wrist , yea it was painful but i never screamed , just got a tear in my eye.
