I dont. There just arent any people that I look up to like that. Maybe I will find one. Do you have one? If you do who is it?

Not really. I have a rather strong belief in what I think. But that doesn't mean I'm not open minded, just means that I don't really need to look up to many people. I'm rather independent.

Yes, my cousin who is working on his doctorate (counseling degree from New Orleans Baptist Seminary), my granddad who showed me what a man truly was, and many university professors, theologians, and pastors. I also seek to be a role model as well. Without role models, we often times go through life blindly. Having good role models has shown me who I want to become.

No I don't. In fact, TBH if you do have a role model they will let you down at some point. People aren't capable of being put on a pedestal. They are human....

Why did you have to be such a downer about role models? :( You need to look at things with a more positive view.

But a little bit of denial helps each person in the world go through their day without going insane. If you take off the glasses. You realize how ****ed up the world is and that theres no escaping this hellhole of a planet. Putting a negative spin on role models isnt a good thing.

Denial can lead to destruction....worshipping role models to have something on which to cling does not make life better. It means you live through another. Why not channel that toward actually living a good life FOR ONESELF?

Yes and no. I always looked up to and admired my dad. I still admire and respect him more than anyone I know, but as he's gotten older he's become very stuck in his ways, and not quite the man (thought wise) who raised me. He's become way to set in his ways and not up for debate on anything, it's disappointed me a bit here lately.

I have a few people who have inspired me, but I don't think it's admirable to have role models. You can't look to someone else to find your way in life, you only hurt yourself that way.

I don't have any role models. I more or less tend to look to people so I know what not to do and how to be successful in areas they may have failed. They're not going to live my life for me. All I can do is learn and live for myself. I don't have to live through them, but I can learn from their mistakes. I can also learn from their success, and attempt to beyond what they have accomplished. Cautionary tales. That's how I see it.

He's more of a mentor rather than a role model. One of those guys I look up to, but know I can go to him when in a tough situation.

I take after my mother. I guess you could say I'm trying to follow in her footsteps. She's been a teacher all her life really, and that's what I'm striving to become as well. I hope I can become a good teacher like her and make a difference in some childrens' lives.

My Role Model Is Barbie. She's the greatest. Her realistic appearance and her message to all the young girls out there... it just really pulls my heart strings!

:P

But for super serial, my role model is prolly someone suave and cool like emilio estevez.

Mmm I don't know. My math teacher I suppose. He was a pretty cool guy, had good morals, and tried to help anyone who needed help. Plus he was a good math teacher. Sucks that he's not gonna be there next year cause he moved; I still talk to him sometimes though.
