It's much more manageable than you'd think. If you go to your local Best Buy or Circuit City and looking at tvs in that range and looked at it from about thirty feet away, it's highly something you can deal with, and you have to be sitting on a comfortable couch in the perfect setting to truly know what I mean. I'm trying to get the best cinematic feel out of my games I guess.57"?
You have to have an ENORMOUS room to appreciate that. Really there are TVs that are too big.

You had to make me look bad, didn't you? U_U I'm also impressed if you meant ' and not ". :PJust wondering and using my poll for the day. Personally I don't and never have and am still using my boxy 20" tube tv. I've been looking to buy a 57" Mitsubishi DLP sometime within this year. camreeno360
ill buy one when they come down in price a bit. the problem is, in 09 i think some channels are going digital only which might drive prices up

Nope, but I'm planning on getting one at some point.
Also, the fact that 66% of GameSpot appears to own HDTVs substantiates my suspicions that "people who post on GameSpot" isn't really a good group to look at when considering gamers at large, considering that I recall seeing a thing that found that less than 20% of the overall population owns one. :P
Of course, i have a 1080p and a 1080i. To prove there is no difference, just a marketing scam, and I was right.MissRiotmaker
Well, what sizes are they? You're not going to see a difference in screens 40" or smaller...

And there's no point. They're both identical 42" flat screens.Yes, it's a Vizio. I can not remember the resolution right now for anything...I really can't. I've been searching for the papers since reading this but I can't find them. It's really driving me crazy now... Anyway...it's a great TV. Had it for about a year now. 27'', which is small to some people but it fits perfectly in my room.Bloodbath_87
If it's a 27" set, it's probably a 720p/1080i set.

Yes, found the papers. :D It's 1080i.It really sucks having a twenty inch blurry tv having an Xbox 360. It just doesn't cut to to give you the full-fledged cinematic experience of playing the games. It's really a pain to go through my games knowing I could be getting much more out of them, as if I'm getting only half the game.
Actually, this very computer monitor I'm using is a 19" flat screen which on the box says in 720p HD capable, but I don't really know what that means. I've been searching on the net for some way to hook this up as a screen for playing videogames but they make it so difficult and I still have no idea how to do it. It's so frustrating how these tech companies that release these products just expect everyone to know everything about electronics....
I have a Sony KDS-60A3000 60" 1080p SXRD RPTV. Yeah, it's better than yours. :)MotherSuperiorYou can speak English, not R2D2 ;)

Looks nice, I like the name too. :lol:i have a 62 inch Mitsubish tv 1080i and it was only 430 DOLLARS!!!. THe tv is real nice it isnt a plasma tv its projection and for some reason when i se HD channels or even blu ray movies i dont think my tv even looks that good maybe i have to compare it to a smaller tv with the same settings. The onyl bad thing about the tv is playing Call of duty 4. Its a biznitch because my eyes cant look at the whole tv at once so a man couldnt be on the bottom corner and own me.57"?
