Do you have any friends who make fun of your different taste in things?

I understand that things like this are pretty common, but i'm talking about the ones who just won't let it go and aren't afraid to let you know that what you like is complete garbage to them.

Like just recently when I purchased a Linkin Park cd, he just gave me a blank stare and asked me if I was serious, and then he just shook his head and said I was becoming a sell out. He listens to nothing but rap, let me add.

But seriously so what? just becuase your friends doesn't mean you have to like exactly the same things. I have friends like that but I respect that they don't like the music I listen to and them that I turn my nose up at what they like. we have some common songs and artists that we like so we focus on them rather than what we disagree on. Just ignore them and make a few jokes about it yourself.

Not really friends, but family members. I can't listen to blues or classical around them because they start acting as if I was gay or something. (I'm not) So I just listen to some Metal, turn it up as loud as I can and annoy the hell out of them. My friends don't care what I listen to.

My other cousin keeps acting like I don't listen to rap anymore and tells me that I've "changed" everytime I listen to rock.

For types of girls.. You like what you like, am I right? If they think your tastes are wierd tell them to bug off because if you like what you see not what they see thats all that matters.
