I do. I'm related to Charles Floyd, aka Pretty Boy Floyd. I'm not ashamed of this. On the contrary, I'm proud of it. He was considerered a folk hero by a great many people for sticking it to the banks. His funeral was the most attended in Oklahoma history, surpassing even those of governors and senators.

According to family legend, a great-great uncle of mine was hung in Gadsden, Alabama for being a horse theif. Interesting, in college, I met someone who said that his great grandfather was part of a lynch mob who hung someone in Alabama for horse theft. Both apocryphal, but still great stories.xaos

To my knowledge, no one in my family has committed a major crime, though I can't really be sure since my lineage becomes a little fuzzy at around 1850. All of my family's notable achievements were accomplished either during war time or political repression, so I suppose they were notorious to whoever was on the recieving end.

As far as I know, my great great grandfather was a Cossack officer in the Crimean War, my grandfather was a Polish resistance fighter in the Second World War, and my father was a fairly high ranking member of the Anti-Communist Solidarnosc movement in Poland.
