Do you have enemies or people who dislike you or jealous of you at present?

Yeah.

Got a person ( everyone hates her tho ) who dislikes me with a passion and feelings mutual. I avoid like a plague.

Another person (ex freind) pretty jealous of me and makes it a point to ridicule me. Have to mix as wifey is freinds with his wife.

None that I'm aware of. If I found out that someone did resent me or what I believe, I would be fine with it. You're never going to please everyone during this life, so I try to not dwell on it.

Oh yeah lol. I'm management and while my direct reports love working under me, there's always someone who is aghast when you have basic work related expectations for them. There's even a few on this forum that are blatantly jealous as well. I don't worry about it honestly, because there's always a price to being a leader, and there's always someone who's envious of what you've achieved or have. It's a waste of energy to give importance to those who have no power over your life.

I try not surround myself around those types of people anymore now that I'm older and life has settled down a bit. Sure, you still run into them from time to time, but it's best to just smile, give a half wave or nod as you walk by, and go on with your day.

Just remember this, miserable people love to try and make other people miserable, but it is you and you alone that gets to decide how you live your own life, your own happiness, and gets to decide what person you are going to be. Don't let the haters bring you down, and if you need to take a long look in the mirror to get your head on your shoulders and to settle down, then do it.

Those you surround yourself with isn't always your choice, but the way you handle them and yourself is.

I've definitely burned a few bridges. I think it's pretty common by the time you get into your 30's you should have a pretty good filter developed that can separate the toxic and the bad influences out of your life to better focus on quality relationships.

Do people hold grudges for that? I dunno, but if they do they should move on because I already did long ago.

I'm a pretty confident, and audacious person as well, and I take chances that often lead to rewards. In the past I've had "friends" speculate doubt in anything I wished to achieve. "Give it up, huurrrrr capitalism means you're fucked hurr hurrr hurrrrr."

So I skipped right over them anyways and found success in what I wanted to do, and then they ragequit on me. Yeah those people got jealous, and that's okay. They really earned that jealousy.

I won't say that I am a much-loved person and all that, but I'm polite and friendly so I doubt there's anyone out there that hates me, and I think most folks go away with a positive experience after interacting with me.

I genuinely love pretty much all people and I think (or hope) that is obvious to people I interact with.

Not many people dislike me now, but I do remember some people not liking a younger me as I was not responsible and would push my work to other people.

I still don't like it, but I learned that being more hardworking is also good for improving relationships with other people

I don't think so. I never knew anyone who would hold such a grudge that they would become an enemy of anyone. That sounds like spending a lot of time and effort on something wasteful.

I am a High School Teacher, so it is almost impossible to not be disliked by someone at any given moment in time. I never take in personally it is not about me it is usually about the other person and what they are going through normally be it parent, student, another teacher, or administrator. I am very lucky to have such a great career though and it brings me a ton of joy, so I feel like a winner every day even when people are aholes sometimes lol.

I used to look after someone with persecution delusions. Horrible, erosive condition. Watched it spiral outward and gradually consume her faith in friends, family, neighbours, and eventually any possible goodness in the world. It was like a living nightmare. You're sat there, a few feet from this person you've known all your life, pleading, trying desperately to distract from the obviously insane doubt which is slowly hollowing and cocooning them, but nothing breaks through. Pure hell.

But about enemies: No. There's always people who are incompatible - kind of like allergies, I figure. But that's all just behavioural stuff. Don't take it personally, don't dwell and don't hold grudges. I mean, why torture yourself? Just try to get along and treat people with respect.

Of course, no matter how good you are to people they will find a way to villainize you. You will always be the bad guy in someone's story
