I have my fave group or REALLY close friends, theres the 4 of us and we call our group 'The Bukake Bunch' (don't ask), were actually off to Finland for a snowboarding holiday next Sunday!! woohoo!
Then theres about 15 or so close friends that i hang out with most of the time.
Then ihave a lot of friends that i know and will say hi to and talk to while im out, but wouldnt normally call up to go out for a drink or whathaveyou.

I'm quite popular, and have many acquaintances. However, when it comes to actual friends whose company I enjoy, and likewise, I have my small group. It's mainly the friends I made during my freshman year of college. Consisting of my current room mates, past room mates, and a small group of their friends and family that have decided to adopt me as one of their own.
Indeed I have both friends and a girlfriend. I'm not a hardcore gamer, just casual, I read more about it than actually playing and participating in discussions (as you might see on my lvl vs. forum posts)...so I have a lot of time for a normal life ;)
It's kind of hard to explain. There's different categories for "friends". There's some you'd just talk to on the way to a class but wouldn't really hang out with them during a break. Some are closer and you've known longer and you go to each others houses and stuff. I'd say I have a lot more semi-friends than close friends.
I try and spend time by myself, but people love me for some reason. I make alot of friends thatI dont want to make because I rather be home reading than at some halo party or whatever.
