If so, name the one that you have. If you don't know the name of your phobia, just post what you are afraid of. In my case, I have horrible emetophobia (fear of vomiting). When I get nauseous, or my stomach doesn't feel right, I get horrible anxiety to the point where I'm not sure if I'm actually nauseous, or if my stomach just feels that way because of anxiety. Sometimes, I won't even eat if I just got over nausea.

I used to be afraid of needles. But that changed when I had cancer and was getting bloodwork and IVs. Now I'm not afraid of them. But I do have cause for celebration-- next month I'll be 4 years cancer free!

The only true phobia I have is of bees and wasps. I was playing on my computer in my old apartment a few months ago before I moved and the window didn't have any netting on. So when this big wasp flew in and sat on the keyboard for a few seconds, i became nearly paralyzed with fear.

Doesn't help that I was stung by a wasp a couple of times as a kid.

Congrats, that's great :)

I don't know if it's quite a phobia, but when I see a centipede I'll freeze, my heart rate will increase and I'll start looking for ways to immediately leave the room. Then I get someone else to come kill it.

I thought I saw one on my bed once and I opted to sleep on the much less comfortable couch that night.

Nothing odd, but I am claustrophobic. Last summer I worked on the 11th floor of a 14 floor building, and I would always take the stairs to avoid the elevators.

I have an insanely weird fear of getting salmonella from raw chicken. I don't think it is at the level of a phobia, but it is a strong fear for sure.

I don't, but I have a friend who is inexplicably afraid of cheese. Always thought it was a joke until she freaked out with tears and hyperventilation.

Acrophobia - I used to not have it but when I was younger I was climbing the ladder to my grandma's roof when my uncle pushed the ladder over when I was climbing started climbing down, so since that day I've been scared of falling from heights.

Fear of heights. It's kind of funny, I can climb up a ladder so my feet are about 6 feet off the ground and I'm totally fine. Get my feet 10 feet off the ground and I'm a freakin' basket case.
