If so what about them makes you that thought appear? For me I usually don't, but I don't ignore the obvious either. For example if a girls hu-ha looks like a kid with chicken pox I'm not gonna think she was stung by a swarm of bees.

A person's appearance reveals so much about them that it would be silly and virtually impossible not to make a few assumptions about them.

Generally I try not to judge people on their appearance alone but where they are and what they are doing. I know plenty of people who look less than reputable but are really great people. I tend to judge girls more than I do guys though for obvious reasons. I've had people assume im a bit of a prick because I "look like sean william scott (stiffler)" which really isn't true so I give most people a chance to show their true colour's before I judge.

I'm pretty shallow I automatically associate negative traits with appearance. I don't like to talk to fat people either, they remind me of when I was fat and I don't like that. I also associate laziness with it. I've never judged someone on skin though, I'm all for racial harmony but other superficial things bug me. It's a problem I have and I think I should see a psychiatrist over my fear of heaviness. It's pretty lame at times.

i judge people through out the entirety of my waking hours, and my judgements are under constant self instigated revision. ;d After ex nihilo there is visual and/or audible cognition, that is what makes me judge them. ;o

I was never taught about other races really. My parents always hammered it into me that we're all humans with different shades. I was like alright and I just ran with it.

I was never told about "races" and racism when I was younger and never really cared about it. I honestly don't get racism. I can see how one could see a fat person as being lazy though and alot of the time in my experience it actually does hold some water but not all fat people are lazy.

I think everyone at some point makes assumptions one way or another, based on someone's appearance, location, or friends.

What's ex nihilo?

theologian terminology, its "out of nothing" or "before nothing" -- so, in context of the human subjective sense:"inexperience" insinuating a passing towards experience, atleast in modern lexis.

Were all human you shouldnt assume something bad about someone because of how they look. I would rather have a person on this earth who is fat that is a nice person then a jerk who is in perfect shape

Making the automatic connection between overweight and lazy doesn't make you a malicious thought criminal.

I never said it made you a criminal but it deffinetly is not a good thing. Judging people for no reason is bad. He didnt just say he assumed there lazy he said he doesent want to talk to fat people and thats not good. And torkio do you like Biggie Smalls?

Wait why am I being quoted here? Im against assuming things about people based on looks and come to conclusions based on personality and actions. Edit: whoops I forgot about the maximum quote number thingy. Just ignore me then lol

I do often judge people, and first impressions are usually very important (and very wrong :P). But that's usually when I'm in an anti-person mood.

The only people I judge are those trying to prove something to the world. And quite honestly, theyre asking to be judged.

I also judge people that cant stop talking, or love talking about themselves, for similiar reasons as above.

I used to a lot when I was younger, but the older I've gotten I've come to realize I really have no basis to judge others on. I also don't see a point in it as it accomplishes nothing except creates pre-conceived notions about someone I know nothing about and from that a bias that is unsubstantiated in the assumptions it creates.

There are time when I do find myself judging others, but that's only when I am being judged by them.

I try not to, and usually do not, since I don't like to be judged myself. I have been a weightlifter for years, and many people assume I have the brains of a caveman, strictly because of my physique.

All the time. I usually try guessing people's social status, personality and intellect. Usually by what they look like and dress, like how much time they would spend trying to look good, or their posture. Even when looking at the "post your picture" threads on here I was judging what each person would be like outside. Guess I'm just a judging type of person. :)

I don't usually judge people but people usually judge me just because I'm notlike them.
