Yes. Two Law Enforcement officers I knew were shot and killed on duty.

Also, when I was in the Air Force, I knew three people that committed suicide.

irl, a girl I knew threw herself into a river. But she's the only one.

A friend. Nobody is sure if it was murder or suicide and further investigation was not taken into consideration. It was complicated and the person who he was with(a friend) said he committed suicide but gave like several stories to other people which made me suspect he was hiding something. No one ever visits his grave, it's almost as if he had never existed.

Yes, a friend of mine who was a drug dealer started stealing from his own supply. His body was found hanging from a lamp post.

A classmate of mine killed himself. He seemed rather melancholy a few weeks before his death but I thought I wasn't anything too serious.

My buddy Keith in high school overdosed on oxycoton and alcohol.

Not really suicide, but only an idiot would mix the two.

My first cousin once removed was murdered by her boyfriend. If I remember correctly she was strangled.

Also, just late last year, a guy I knew in high school was stabbed to death. We weren't really friends or anything, but note worthy nonetheless.

No, but a guy I was friends with in school helped murder his girlfriend's father. It was him, his girlfriend, her sister and her sisters boyfriend. My friend and the sisters boyfriend got the harsher sentences because my friend provided the weapon and helped hold him down while the sisters boyfriend stabbed him multiple times, while the two girls who wanted their father dead got lesser sentences because they only watched.

It was sad hearing what my friend had done, throwing his life away, and taking anothers mans, all for a girl. He was always like that in school though, he was a pretty smart guy too, much more so than myself, but girls were his weakness he always do anything for a girl he liked, which often meant him getting in trouble for them, but I never thought he'd go that far.

An acquaintance at work committed suicide a several months ago.

Yes, my baby brother. He was 25.

Nope, but my friends dad murdered someone and he's serving life.

Yeah, I knew probably 3-4 who committed suicide. I only knew one of them very well in high school, but hadn't seen them for a few years before they died. This is really bound to happen the older you get, as sad as it is.

I also had a great uncle who was a cop and got murdered in the line of duty (during a routine traffic stop of someone who turned out to be a escaped prisoner). I never knew him, he died 20 years before I was born.

Nope, I know of no one who was murdered or committed suicide.

My old roommate shot himself in Iraq almost ten years ago. I had another buddy who was killed in a roadside bomb in Iraq back in 2008 and a third buddy shot by a sniper in 2009 but whether or not one would consider that murder depends on whether or not they consider insurgents lawful combatants in a warzone.

Sadly, my grandma was run over by a motorcycle last week and she died from her injuries a few days later. Although I do feel bad for the guy who did it, since he had no intention to do it (he'd be charged with manslaughter but as far as I know my family didn't pressed charges), apparently he had a nervous breakdown since he found out she died.

I know she wasn't murdered in cold blood (thankfully) but still, I guess its the closest I'll get to what OP is asking.

Oh and the cousin of one of my best high school friends hanged himself from a tree in front of a main road, and the brother of my P.E class teacher was gunned down, caught in the crossfire between some drug dealers. But I guess I didn't know them personally.

A guy in my older brother's class with killed himself a few years ago. I didn't know him at all but I saw him in school a few times.

Oh yeah that reminded me about this guy when I used to go to the gym, he was huge, huge, like Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel combined. One day the guy almost killed me because I forgot to secure the weights I was lifting and one of them almost fell on his foot.

Guy stopped comming after that, and 1 week later, we found out that the same night that thing happened, he got home and blew his head off with a shotgun, roid rage or something.

the mother of one of my wife's good friends in hs was murdered by her ex husband a few year ago.. she was a teacher at our school

Uncle of mine was stabbed to death and his car was stolen. Life happens, yeh.

Had two cousins who committed suicide a few years apart from each other. One of them was in 2007 and the other was in 2009. They were brother and sister and both in their late 20's and 30's. I never knew them personally as my family never talked to my dad's family. I know the cousin that died in 2009 probably did so cause of Michael Jackson passing away, I am not sure.

Couple of people (one freind) commited suicide, Three or more persons i knew died in accident, no one i knew was murdered yet.

My ex-fiance's sister killed herself after a long depression. It affected my ex-fiance so much that we had to break up. She got depressed as well and she started doing drugs. Eventually she OD'ed and died as well. I haven't been in a relationship since.

Not sure this counts as it's not suicide or murder (I don't think) but True story time!

During my 2nd year of secondary school I found something I didn't expect to see. Someone like me! This girl was to be my first proper relationship! I had known her from outside of school as her parents used to rent movies from my parents shop and she often chose and returned them. I knew she was in the same school as me but we didn't talk in school as we never encountered each other since she was in different set groups, until she got moved up a set into my class. Being the only face she vaguely knew she sat next to me. We spoke, we laughed, we caught the bus back together.

Next day she dies in a house fire....

I think my reactions were... "oh crap, that's sad... Oh crap! I'm single with hardly any friends again!".

It was a shame. Took me 5 years to find another one, and she ended up moving to Doncaster which is another kind of Hell.

We lost touch a long time ago but late last year a guy i grew up playing with was murdered, found dead in a hotel room by a cleaner.

Apparently he was about to open a night club so may have been involved with some less than honest people but i dont know.

The investigation is still ongoing.

I didn't actually knew him but back in 2009 a guy jumped out of the third floor of our school.It was 7.26 i think and i was sitting right next to the spot where he landed.
