My dream in life is to finish college, get a good job and buy a house. In that house I want to have a modest sized library that enters into my office / study. I want to fill that library with unique books that will offer anyone who reads books from my private library (friends...my kids if I would have some :P) a unique view on the world through the eyes of all different kinds of authors. Not just New York Times best selling authors, but un-established writers from all over the world.

So this summer I want to start to bring in some books that I can't get with my Borders reward card. If you know someone who has published a book I would like you to tell me a bit about it and if it is available online (through the publishers website or something) or otherwise, tell me how to get a hold of it.

A good summary and review would be nice. I don't have the money yet to just go and buy any book for the heck of it, I want them to be interesting books.

Thanks!

A professor at my school published a couple of books in the psychological field. His name is Moises Salinas. You wouldn't think the guy is smart because he's a total wack job. And I knew another professor who published a book... Bob Emilinai I think. They're not that famous...but, they have published books. :P

Many people I work with have published.  They hold doctorates in hydrology, geology, agronomy, chemistry, and related fields of study.  Very interesting reading material *snores*

On a serious note one of my grand-uncles or something or rather is the leading man on the psychology of adolescent minds, so he must have published tons of books.

Looks cool, thank you.

I've bookmarked both books and may buy them when I have more funds...lol (after finals basically).

More suggestions would be great.

Like I said, I want to aquire a TON of books for a library someday when I have my own house. Therefore any book that is unique (in that there isn't 50 copies of it in every book store in the world). That is why I'm asking if you guys know anyone personally who has written a book. I figure that is the best way to start this collection. I don't want to walk into a bookstore and buy random books, but rather have books that most people don't even know about.

So if you know anyone who has written a book on any subject, give it a plug and I'll take a look at it.

The only books i can recommend you to stay away from are black magic books.

Oh sorry, I didn't notice that you asked something like that. :P I'm not sure where you can buy it though, I'm guessing you can just get them from him or his art-galleries. But you're not missing much, it's just pictures of his rather boring paintings, and some text (in Finnish) about what they are supposed to represent. :/
