How bout dem apples?
I have to say, Gala apples are my favorite apples. They originated in New Zealand, but have found more popularity in the US and UK. What is yours? I'd make a poll, but there are literally thousands of different possibilities.

I love Gala apples. Golden Delicious are awesome too. I prefer those two over Red Delicious, Granny Smith, and Fuji apples.
I am physically incapable of visiting the grocery store without swinging by the produce section to grab a couple Granny Smiths.

[QUOTE="ExoticAnimal"]Apples from the store taste like crap. The home grown ones or ones bought from a farm taste amazing. I loved having our granny smith apple tree in back yard.Dracula68
Dude, that sig high enough for you?
Blame Synthia for it. lolI do like apples, including Apple juice. However recently every one is up in arms because the Oprah DR (not DR Phil, the other guy, don't know his name) claimed he did a study where he found Arsenic in Apple juice products. Apparently the apples are grown in China than they do concentrate to them, but seeing how China is so polluted and they use different chemicals that apparently Arsenic is found in the Juice products.
I don't know if it's true or not, mabey this guy is just some TV "doctor" who is trying to scare everyone, I don't know because I don't watch the show. But alot of people in my community are going crazy and trying to ban apple juice and it was on the news.
Just thought I would throw that out there....
It's actually somewhat true. There is arsenic found in apple juice but Dr. Oz exaggerated the amount though. He wasn't specific with saying what type of arsenic it was. There's two types of arsenic, one being abundant organic arsenic which is harmless and inorganic arsenic which is dangerous as its found in pesticides and other chemicals. Apple juice has the organic form so it's not bad for your health.I do like apples, including Apple juice. I saw that too. Dr. Oz is his name, I believe. It wasnt that the arsenic content was tremendously high. Just 2-3 times higher than what is recommended for drinking water. So not good, but not going to kill you with one glass.I do like apples, including Apple juice. Anything grown in China probably has questionable chemicals in it - their standards and regulations aren't particularly high and in terms of importing their products (in Canada, at least), the guidelines for safe imported produce are much lower than they are for goods grown in Canada. I avoid as much Chinese produce as I can - canned items included. But it's hard sometimes as so many things are grown there and companies here use them as they're cheap.[QUOTE="Overlord93"]Dipped in sugar :oDeihjanOr with nutella, or caramelised.. aww 3: I haven't had caramel apples since I was like 10. I can still picture the taste in my mouth though, probably one of the best things ever Oh yes, especially when the caramel is overly sweet, and the apple is slightly sour. Or applesauce with pancakes or waffles.. apple icecream.. ice cold apple slices with warm chocolate poured over them..You have successfully made me very hungry [QUOTE="Overlord93"]
