I used to watch it and enjoy it very much but I don't now.

Yes, I also plan to start boxing in 2 months.Arctic_GrillzJust a word to the wise, if you've never done wrestling/boxing/mma conditioning before, I'd recommend stretching thoroughly beforehand as well as fasting for a few hours before, you won't believe how many people show their lunch at their first boxing lesson >.>
I can relate.... I used to be avidly into professional boxing, but for the past year or so I've been lagging behind because of MMA and the UFC. I must admit, MMA promotes its fighters better now-a-days.I blame MMA for taking away my love for boxing haha. But really it's just a repetition of strikes for me now.I like more diversity of actions.

Boxing is quite healthy here in the UK. I've been to a Hennesy Sports/ ITV4 fight to see Darren Barker win recently. Great night - especially the brawl outside afterwards!
Watch out for Tyson Fury - an undefeated 6'9" "gypsy" heavyweight that can't find decent fights atm.

Make sure you put on wraps before using a weight bag, and make sure you know how to wrap up properly (especially if you're still growing). While it's somewhat time consuming, you can really hurt your knuckles or wrist if you end up hitting the bag the wrong way. Here's a pretty useful video for learning how to put on wraps. Oh, and you might want to practice your skipping skills before you start :P
