Do you like mainstream music?

I like mainstream music.

I already have an idea of what the poll results are going to look like. It's going to be something along the lines of 98-99% of voters answering "No" in the poll. Heck, I'll probably be the only one who answers "Yes".

If by mainstream you mean fairly new and played on the radio constantly, yes I do like some of it.

Mainstream metal/classic rock (Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Mettalica, Journey, just to name a few for example), then yes. Mainstream pop, no.

Depends. What is your definition of "mainstream"? Once the band has a Top 100 hit? Once they have a music video? Once too many people know about them?

Do older bands like classic rock, blues, jazz count as mainstream?

Well, I like a lot of mainstream music, how much depends on the definition.

As for me, I do like mainstream music, whether it's Owl City, Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift or Beyoncé, I can get into it.

Most of the people here listen to mainstream music and deny such, mostly because they associate it to pop and such other more popular genres these days.

Of course I like mainstream music, some more recent artists really do have talent.

Paramore and a few others, but not much of it.

Some of it is good, most of it is bad.

The same is true of just about everything ever.

I tend to shy away from mainstream music and listen to more hidden gems in every genre. But I definitely see the appeal of mainstream music.

Some of it's good. Some of it's absolute crap.

Stuff like cIassic popular rock and metal, yep. But not the new stuff. I voted no.

No, but I would NEVER right off an artist simply because they're popular.

I have to say no overall, because there are too many things regarding mainstream music which I don't like, as in, I don't like what's going on. But otherwise there are many songs i've enjoyed that hit the mainstream.

no. i don't listen to the radio. or not mainstream artists for the most part. only exceptions being bands from the 80's new wave scene.

Some modern mainstream is okay, but most of my favorites are lesser known.

Me not like. I honestly thin kthat there are a lot of unknown songs that are way better than the mainstream ones. But commercials rule the music world.

A few artists here and there. For the most part I listen to relatively obscure artists though...
