What do you think of it? Who are your favorite bands?

I haven't liked it for a long time, I just recently got into it. I really like Alexisonfire, and Underoath.

I personally love the layered music, melodic guitar and melodic singing combined with screaming vocals. Something about it really connected with me.

I love AFI (before they went mainstream), I believe that's hardcore, though...

I tried it out for a month or so and then deleted it. Not bad, but not a long term interest.

Isn't post-hardcore just another term for emo? According to the almighty Wiki, FFAF, MCR and BFMV are post-hardcore.

Post-hardcore, along with prog-rock, si my favorite genre. But this crap sucks. All the mallgoth, new post-hardcore bands suck. At the Drive-in, Bear vs. Shark, Fugazi, Sparta, The Blood Brothers, Thrice, those are some good bands.

And yes...I listen to some post hardcore. There are few genres to which I don't listen.

Really? I thought they were more... emo/ rock. I guess post-hardcore is one of my favourite genres then. O.o

Alexisonfire are my favourite band but I dont stuff them into the post hardcore sub genre. Just because I dont like sub genres and the band have said themselves in various interviews they dont classify themselves as anything they just play music they enjoy.

Also Bring Me The Horizon etc are not hardcore. You want hardcore listen to Sick of It All, Wisdom in Chains, Comeback Kid etc

emo=Emotional Hardcore. wiki it.

and Death Metal has absolutely nothing to do with Emo, or Post-Hardcore or anything like that. It developed from Thrash Metal

Funeral for a Friend's earlier music could be described as emo/post-hardcore, though their latest album, Tales, was just rock. No screaming, just good rock. A big step forward, though no other FFAF fans agree with me. ^^

I'm not sure how all these bands got tagged as post hardcore. "Post Hardcore" pretty much got started in DC after the initial wave of hardcore bands broke up. Bands like Embrace, Rites of Spring, Faith, and all that. Fugazi is pretty much the definitive post hardcore band.
