Yep I sure do but I like the old stuff a little bit better. Some of the new artists suck.

Yes I do, and be prepared for an onslaught of people that hate it and are going to do their best to tactfully insult it and it's fans.

Exactly, look how funny and clever I am!Not really...
I don't really know anything about rap/hip-hop, the only stuff I've heard is garbage like soulja boy. I think the only artist I've heard that I truly liked is Lupe Fiasco.

For every person that says rap sucks because they only look at the mainstream there could easily be a person that says rock or any other genre sucks for the same reasons.
Obviously rock and rap lovers are somewhat enemies, but the fact is that 90% of the music in both genres suck equally. I happen to love both.
I like some rap/ hip hop, though I don't really know where to start to get into it more.AxeStranglerPandora.com is pretty great because you can type an artist you like and they do a really great job of playing similar artists.

I know. I've heard one dude say rap sucks rock is the best but different opinions though.Yeah everyone has different taste, especially with music. Yep like I don't really care for rock. I like a few songs but I don't really care for it. Especially metal. For every person that says rap sucks because they only look at the mainstream there could easily be a person that says rock or any other genre sucks for the same reasons.

I'm the same way. I cannot listen to mainstream of either genre. I like heavy metal (of all flavors...and some of the old rock and psychedelic). But I also like old school hip-hop/trip-hop.

Hip-Hop I like. The sub-genre Rap kinda gets annoying depending on who you listen to. Artists now, such as Soulja Boy tend to mix Pop with Rap and it's disrespectful. Oh well, what can you do. Anything to make a dime, right? WestSideAzn
Hip-hop is a cultue, rap is the music of it.
I like some rap/ hip hop, though I don't really know where to start to get into it more.AxeStranglerStart by reading up on the history and culture of hip-hop and its four elements, MCing, Bboying (Breakdancing)-- like what the guy in my avatar is doing, DJing and Graffiti. Maybe if you involve yourself in one of the four elements, you can enjoy the real type of Hip-Hop. Bboying is a fun activity to get involved in, if you like to dance. Graffiti, sure, if you like to tag up places with artistic talent. Try DJing if you like music and mixing music and all of that. Try MCing if you want to rap or do spoken word.
