Yeah.

Video ganes = You get to watch, play, and follow a story.

Movies = You're just watching and following the film.

For the most part, no. There are certain games that I enjoy more than movies, such as Call of Duty 2 or Mass Effect.

I prefer movies better, sometimes it's good just to relax and watch a film without doing anything.

Depends on the movie. If it's a good movie, there's seldom else I'd rather be doing.

depends on the type of the film, in case of horror movies, i prefer a real good horror game instead a average horror movie, today's horror movies suck, with a few exceptions

Video Games FTW. Movies cost less than video games but they're only like 2-3 hours. And when you watch it once, thats it, its not going to change the second time you watch it. :D

Hell yes, games gets better while movies get worse or aren't as entertaining as games to me nowadays. And with the line up of games in 2010, movies would need to impress me a lot since there's like over 20 games I want in that year alone!

For sure, i prefer interacting with something rather than watching it without any control of what happens. Video games these days have tell a story so video games can have a deep immersive story line with the ability to play as a character in the story. I still enjoy watching movies but i prefer interacting with the story rather than just spectating.

They are different mediums and I love them both. It's 50/50 for me. However...I would take a fantastic and complex RPG story over a good movie story any day.

I think I like my very favourite movies more than video games but on average I prefer video games as a hobby over my interest in seeing movies.

By the way, this is poll worthy.

Video games to movies.. yes. Video games to TV series.. no. For some reason, I like longevity. Video games are great for that. So whenever I buy a bunch of movies, I just let them sit around. The thought of watching a movie is sometimes more appealing than having to play through a game (where frustration could really ruin the day), but the thought of finishing the movie in a sitting depresses me. But give me a couple of TV show DVD sets and it's like christmas all over again. Gaming takes a backseat whenever this is the case.

But more and more these days, paying attention to the stories and just even watching the cutscenes are my favourite parts of the game (customization of character is also huge, but another story for another time). For Saints Row 2, as many activities as there were in the game, I rushed through them just so I could get to the next level and see how the story played out, and how cool my character looked in the cutscenes :P

Although i spend more time playing games, than watching, movies, I think it's equal.

Yes, I love being interactive, but there are a lot of times when I want to sit back, relax, and just watch a flick. So in goes a DVD, instead of a game disc.

I especially love watching series, like Deadwood, Firefly or Dexter.
