Do you like Youtube? Why or Why not?

You know I do! It's really awesome to listen to music, or watch funny videos here and there. I think it's awesome, other then all the Complainers there saying stuff to tick people off, but that doesn't bother me so yeah. I think Youtube is awesome IMO. What are your opinions about Youtube?

Shucks. Mostly because of the near-zero quality of comments, and that rule of 'blocking' videos containing official content, at least in my country. So basically I can't listen to 90% of mainstream music and more (hell, they've blocked half of SoaD songs), thus having to resort myself to itty-bitty-illegal downloading. Nude_Dude

It's a good place to go when you're bored, you can always find something to make you laugh

I'm curious. What do you believe is the purpose of YouTube? And can't the purpose of YouTube - whatever it is - coincide with the ability to make money at the same time?

Personally, if individuals are going to spend time creating content that entertains (my personal definition of YouTube's purpose), then they should have to opportunity to profit from their efforts.

The community was friendly when people were simply making stuff for fun. I used to spend a lot of time making videos back in '07 when nobody was being paid. Me and a lot of great people have no reason to make videos now. The purpose of Youtube is fun, not business.

I like it, but not as much as I use to.

It's better than TV.

Documentaries, opinions, travel videos, videogame reviews, music videos, hello! project fansubs, art. There's always something interesting going on.

I like it. Its a great way to find some new interesting music, documentaries, anime and funny videos. You can watch whole series of anime thanks to people that upload them. Also good for finding some gameplay vids and music videos.

Only thing I don't like is their strict music content violations.

I'm on Youtube for at least a half-hour a day. It's great for LPs or just killing time.
