There's a really good prog metal band from Bangladesh I love. Some Japanese rock is nice too. One time this guy brought rock and jazz from Taiwan to my common room, that sounded nice as well.

Sometimes I prefer it to be in a language foreign to me, you really focus on the music and the singing rather than the lyrics. I listen to alot of music with different languages, mostly Japanese.

Of you ever wondered what Germans singing metal with Harps and Bagpipes sounds like, check out In Extremo - Ave Maria :)

I love Icelandic Music. Amiina are good too. They usually support Sigur Ros, but I saw them live in London.

I also want to mention Senzafine by Lacuna Coil. I've seen Lacuna Coil live too. :)

I usually prefer to listen to music that I can understand, but I'm not adverse to a little bit here and there. There's this French-pop band I really like called Malajube.

Not really, other then some classical...some music has a nice sound, so the language doesn't really matter (classical, jazz, etc) but for rock and most genres the lyrics play a big role, if you can't understand the lyrics you really aren't getting the full effect of the music, so what's the point?
