Do you look really different with a beard and without?

There are some people that you just don't recognize when they happen to shave all their facial hair, or if they let their beard grow to extreme sizes.

Are you one of those people? Or can your friends tell if it's you?

I look different, but not different enough that people don't recognize me. I've had a full beard for almost 1.5 years now, and if I were to start shaving again, I know I'd look quite different... but not unrecognizably different.

I've had a bear for.. 5 years? Maybe 6? So would be a shock for people who know me if i shaved now :lol:Strider_91

Depends on how big a beard it is. Yes some people do look completely different with vs without it

I only have a chin strap as a beard and thus my face is not actually covered entirely. I have yet to let my beard grow across my entire face. As such, I cannot imagine that someone would not recognize me without my beard. Here is what I look like and I have kept my beard this way for over 2 years now.

However, I'm not sure if anyone will ever have that chance being that I have no intention of ever completely shaving away all of my facial hair. Sure I may change its sty|e but I like having facial hair.

I look like a pretty bearded lady at the moment. Would be the best of both worlds, but there are no boobs.

i think i would look VERY different with a beard. i can barely grow any facial hair, and the hair that i can grow, looks weird if i don't shave it off, so i do every day.

Oh yes. Very different. Without my moustache, I look very young. I went to the VA clinic recently and one granny thought I was 21.:lol: When I told her I'm in my 40's she couldn't believe it. She kept staring at me until I got called for my appointment. Keeping myself trim and fit certainly helped. But, shaving the moustache (plus having a GI haircut) really helped change my looks.

I look younger without a beard, thats really the only difference.

I look waaaaaaaaaaaaay different with and without, usually I have a bit of facial hair, but not that long, just enough to get away with not shaving lol

No the beard was pretty much a one time deal, I was in that zone where I wasn't going to be seeing my girlfriend for a while and did not have to impress other prospects. Perfect beard growing environment. Such is no longer the case.

Yeah, I've been told several times before I look strange with no facial hair. I had a full beard, not real bushy but rather nicely trimmed, and I thought I looked pretty dang good with it. Now I'm back to my traditional chin hair.

I don't have a full blown beard, but a good amount. Nevertheless whenever I shave it, I look very different. I believe at one point someone didn't quite recognize who I was after I had shaved it.. Kinda odd, but yeah.. I look different with and without.
