Yeah, and so are internet arguments. But that hasn't stopped you has it?metroidfood
I'm not arguing, and I wouldn't say that it's on the same level as eating a dog or a human baby.
If a cow got a chance to eat you and everyone you love, I bet he would take it!_rock_
Cows are herbivores so you lost that bet.
But if we're playing the nature game, then we're at the top of the food chain. nothing wrong with us eating animals.-Pro-Link-
I would hardly say humans are really playing the "nature game" at this point.

I was talking about you and rock... :P[QUOTE="LightR"][QUOTE="HorseVillain"]
But nature says both are okay.
In different situations...That's irrelevant, nature says it's okay.
It's hardly irrelevant. You don't see poor families around the world eating their own young because they have no food instead of starving to death. Just because nature says it's "okay" doesn't mean we have to do it.Animal testing is fine. Because it saves human lives. Dont believe me? Talk to a diabetic as far as cereal is concerned, i hope you dont have milk with it if youre a vegan...Do you love cereal and hate meat? Become a vegan today! Join the revolution! :p

But seriously, slaughtering animals is not right. Have you seen videos on what they do to animals? It's disgusting and cruel. Animal testing isn't right either. Animals also have hearts. They're not things you can just mess around with. I hate how people treat animals like they're some piece of trash..
Cereal ftw.

Does soy milk taste similar to regular milk? Even if it doesn't, at least it won't have that sour milk smell if it's split...
It looks similar from a distance. When you drink it, though, it doesn't taste much like milk at all - more like powder-based protein shakes, except instead of a powdery mouthfeel it goes down more like phlegm. It also lingers in your mouth for hours after you drink it with a rancid almond-like aftertaste.Does soy milk taste similar to regular milk? Considering that pigs are just as emotional and slightly more intelligent than dogs, that's not quite right. Would you eat a dog?
Why do people think it's wrong to eat dogs exactly? Because people keep them as pets? I'd have no problem trying dog if it was offered to me.[QUOTE="garathe_den"]It looks similar from a distance. Even lactose intolerants have better alternatives:

Pigs on the other hand have been bred since the ancient times for the sole purpose of harvesting.

So you prove my point.
Tons of small animals die by being mangled by farming equipment during harvests. Vegans kill animals too.F1_2004
Which is irrelevant as it's unintentional.

dam...you just made me even more hunger and I just had mcdonald's an hour ago you jerk! :(
If you don't eat meat, the animals will have died or been slaughtered in vain. :PShad0ki11
That could be true, if vegetarians were buying meat just to throw in the trash, but as far as I know they aren't, so it's not.

Hardly irrelevant. Animals couldn't care less whether we intended to mangle them underneath a tractor.
Nah I'll stick to eating my meat (goes to dinner with a plate full of chicken)daqua_99
Good job, you're like the 20th person in this topic to make that kind of spiteful comment, what creativity.

When we accidentally kill another human being by way of vehicular manslaughter, we still get in trouble for it. No matter what way you put it, murder by intention or accident lands you in the lockup. Same as killing an animal. Taking a life -- it is what it is.WestSideAzn
So what's your point. People should be locked up for eating meat?
No way, im way too skinny as it is let alone give up meat. :Prealistic44
That doesn't even make sense.

So you're telling me that the argument that vegans make against meat eaters is, "It's OK to kill animals, as long as you didn't mean to do it"? Next you'll have me believe that the police are OK with people killing other people so long as they didn't intend to do it. lol.[QUOTE="realistic44"]No way, im way too skinny as it is let alone give up meat. :PHorseVillain

I don't worry too much about animal suffering. It's really all just a sliding scale of what we're willing to tolerate.
Ask any meat eater if they like animals being tortured, and they'll say no. They just don't care enough to research the slaughter practices on farms from which their chicken nuggets originated.
Now, some people are against animal abuse, and go vegan. But how many of them bother to research whether or not the bread that they eat came from grain that was mass-harvested by machines rather than hand-picked? If you eat vegan grain products that were harvested using the kinds of machinery that tends to kill and maim any animals that get in the way, then you could go one step better and grow your own grain, and then handpick it.
Of course, no one wants animals to get tortured. But there's a point at which most consumers stop caring (be they carnivores, omnivores, or herbivores). You can always go one better when it comes to being "humane", it's just that most people go as far as they're willing to go, and then stay right at that comfort level.

No, I'm saying that the point he made about killing innocent animals while harvesting grains is irrelevant to this thread....No, I'm saying that the point he made about killing innocent animals while harvesting grains is irrelevant to this thread.... WestSideAzn
