The smells, the thousands of fish you can see, crabs and lobsters, it's such a magnificent place to be! In.

I would love going with my old man to buy fish there and some of the huge groupers are... just awesome to look at. They can take up entire tables and some hang them vertically since they're just too big.

Do you enjoy shopping at your various fish markets as well?

I love fish market, especially the smell. At first you'll say "smells fishy!" or other rants but when you get used to it, it's good 8)

I went to a Japanese fish market and it has these market/restaraunts hybrid which sold really fresh seafood.

Great stuff. Other than that, not really, fish markets stink.

Fish markets aren't supposed to smell strongly of fish, actually. It's a sign that they don't keep fresh stock.

I always try to steer clear of the fish section in Asian markets because it usually smells nasty.

I like looking at the fish market from afar, like in tv. Actually being in there...well I consider it an experience since I don't do so often. And I'd like to keep it that way. Not a big fan of walking on watery, fishy smelling places.

Well I've never been to Germany but my cousin and his family go there every summer, they really enjoy the place and they've been to a sausage fest there. It was sort of a festival and he tells me there were many different types of meat there, so many variatians of sausages and boy did it smell.

As for me, I don't really like the smell of many different meats at once, I much prefer fish and the smell of the ocean as it's been hardwired into my DNA. So a fish market for me is a much cooler place.

Which one do you go to?

I've been to Sharq long ago early in the morning. I remember it was 6 AM when me and my sister got there! It was a really nice experience.

Oh mah goodness gamingqueen it's been too long!!! hehe.

Actually I think the one in souq sharq is... well I wouldn't say new but it isn't the one that my dad would take me to; there was this other place and when I was younger I'd see him barter with the other guys, and I'd say how hammour is the best fish ever, but he'd say zubaidi, stuff like that, good times.

But yeah in recent years we go to the souq sharq one, it has the goods at least. Though to be quite honest... I wouldn't expect any girls to like to go there :P

Nooooo. I can't go inside because of my severe allergy to seafood. If I touch anything contaminated with fish I will break out in rashes and get all puffy, if I eat anything I go into anaphylactic shock, and sometimes the smell makes it hard for me to breathe if it is not in a well ventilated space. :P I do go with my family if they ever go though since there is this awesome candy store. :D

I don't know if I've ever been to a market devoted to fish O___o
The markets around here always have a fish section though, and most of it isn't frozen fish because of the city being on the coast.
I really only eat salmon though...

The only fish markets I know are in places like grocery stores. We don't have any open-air fish markets...at least none that I know of.

I don't think I've ever been to one to be honest. The smell just puts me off completely.

I don't like the smell of fish. I don't really like the smell of markets either, or butchers for that matter, or seeing dead fish. Or fishermen. Or nets. Or boats.
