It's weird, when I'm in a large group, I tend to be a little less outgoing and funny as I am when I'm hanging out with a few close friends. I just wanted to see your experiences and how you felt about this.

I'm the opposite of you, TC - in a large group, I'm far more open and loud.
I like both, but I don't like being alone. :P
Im exactly the same i much prefer small groups. Part of the reason is i am not really one for shouting down other people. It's weird, when I'm in a large group, I tend to be a little less outgoing and funny as I am when I'm hanging out with a few close friends. I use to feel like nothing beats going out somewhere very deep in a large group. We would go places in group of 20 or more people and felt like we shut anywhere and everywhere down becoming the center of attention--but that is only fun now maybe once every other month or two nowadays(too much drama, ignorance and childish foolin). I become abit withdrawn, shy, and quiet now when it's too large(I end up being an observer of everybody else having fun and just making sure everybody doesn't fight, has rides home, money, ect ect). So I definitely prefer small groups more at this point. Much easier for me to feel comfortable and be myself.
Always been able to enjoy both scenarios. Though if you want personal contact then a smaller group is the better way. But nothing wrong with big parties either.
Small group. I just feel more comfortable that way because being surrounded by so many people sort of overwhelms me.
At last head count, the largest group of close friends I have ever hung out with was 1,254,753. We had a BBQ.
I guess it all depends on the mood I'm in. I have no problem hanging out with a large group of friends, but sometimes it's nice to be with just a few close friends.
