I'm really starting to get into them. Might even start my own collection if I have the energy to do so.

I don't really go out of my way to get them, but there is a comic store at the beach I stop at every one in awhile.
Nope. I only ever owned two comic books, both of which were about the Silver Surfer. I don't remember the story, and am no longer interested in that type of thing.
I tend to stick to Graphic Novels but I'll sometimes grab a compilation from a comic. Unless you're planning on being one of those people who has to have every issue of a certain series I recommend finding a writer or artist you like and following their work. Personally I'd recommend Alan Moore, Frank Miller and Jeff Loeb as good starting points.
I did for awhile when I was like 21 for around 4 months. Haven't been interested in them since which was around 7 years ago now. I don't think they are just for kids or anything of course but the cost of the hobby is just to much. 4 bucks per comic (roughly if I remember right) is just way to expensive for what they are.testfactor888
Really? I get mine for a dollar each from where I get mine, which is a great value considering some of the extras some of these things pack.
I even saw an autographed Superman comic for just $1.
