It's either you read the TC's post and reply to it, or do you try to read through everyone's post to see how you'll make yours and to make sense?

I do for the most part. I think people tend to make dumb comments when they haven't read the entire thread.

Most of the time unless it is something like Roll Call or a thread that has like 400+ replies.

I read other posts if the thread has only a few replies. If it's got a lot of them, I just read the first post and reply to it. It would be a waste of time to go through threads about religions or gay rights because they typically get a lot of replies in a short amount of time.

Depends on the thread type. Some are simply asking for your opinion or what you do in a given situation. Then there are debate threads, which often require reading and then becoming aware of what the current debate is in the thread.

I mostly read the first page to see were the thread is heading. If the topic is interesting or controvertial then I'll read the most comments.

Depends how many posts there are, and the content. If there are over, say, 5 pages of replies, I probably would only read the first few. However, if the OP would clearly provides a good opportunity for people to reply with lulz, I might read the whole thread.

I do for the most part, unless I'm tired, or feel that my response will be unique and relevant w/o reading other's stuff, or a yes or no question.

Depends on how interesting and long it is. If its a interesting thread then most likely it'll have me gripped and I'll read it through. If it isn't that interesting and just is a simple answer type of thread then not really. Sometimes I might skim through or something lol :P

I almost never post in threads with high post counts. By that time, all sides have been taken and the thread is most likely being filled with two or three people debating in a long, circular and pointless fashion.

Depends on the thread. Unless it's a really good topic, I don't read s*** at the OT board before posting a reply, but in unions I typically read others' posts before replying.
