Do you really think Bill is the wealthiest man in the world?

Saddam had the whole country under his control, he pretty much owned all the banks and collected all the tax. Considering how much he gave back to the community (which is nothing)...he must have been wealthier than anyone knew. I know that he hid with only 500k USD....but that doesn't mean anytihng.

Another thing...Arabian Princes.

They also have everything under their own control..is it really possible to calculate how much money they have access to? They have Island-sized mansions.

Russian Mafia...what better way to become a wealthy man than crime? I may be reaching with this one...but it seems to me that Russia is pretty much run by the mob.

Well, Saddam's money isn't really his...it's his family's. Also, Iraqi currency isn't worth much.

Bill Gates has a flowing economy, a steadily rising income, and this can all be statistically proven. Although someone may be richer, the people you have listed above have done it through illegal acts, when Gates hasn't. Therefore, Bill Gates rightfully earns the title as wealthiest person on the planet.

That would be fun being in the bill gates army cause we'd never have to fight, we'd just buyout ambitious smaller developing nations, convert them to our business practices, and turn them into more powerful nations as a part of our own empire.
