Do You Remember Where You Were?

Do you remember where you were when they news came that Saddam Hussien and Osama Bin Laden were caught/killed?

I do remember the moment for both.

I was laying in my bed playing with my cat early morning, my mom came in the room and told me "They got him" I replied "who?" "Saddam Hussien has been caught" and i promptly got out of bed and went to the TV.

As for Osama, i was hanging out with friends at their apartment playing games. i refreshed the Yahoo news screen and Osama Bin Laden dead story came up. Then i started checking other news sources and it started popping there as well.

No clue, I am irish after all.

playing video game at 3am (Dragon Ball Z: Budokai)and decided to go to bed and when the regular tv displayed they announced capturing him and i believe he stood trial.

somone on warcraft 3 TFT 4vs4 laddder game told me they killed Osama.

No.

I didn't care.

They could've found Osama much faster by publicly executing all of his family members until he stepped forward. Thats what I would've done.

No I dont.

Osama's "death" I heard about on the radio. I remember guys at work arguing about the no pics and no body thing.

Actually you wanna know the truth? I heard Osama was dead from OT :lol:

Rushed to the TV to see what they were saying right after! Thanks OT, if It wasn't for your obsesion with this, I wouldn't have gotten to know about it till trhe morning after the news broke, and I wouldn't have seen much of the coverage and Obama's Adress.

Saddam, no clue. I was playing Arma 2 when my mom came in and told me to switch to one of the news channels for Osama.

Probably both of them I was at home.

Can't remember Saddam. Had just gotten home from band practice, and was browsing the interwebz (interesting story, huh?) when I heard about Bin Laden.

Well, Suddam I was at home since I believe it was announced that they caught him a little passed the afternoon. And I was also at home when Osama was caught.....

I was at work for both, remember sending out txts to friends telling them the news...

I turned on the news one evening and saw that Saddam was executed. And for Osama I opened up my laptop on my MSN homepage and it said "Breaking news, Osama Bin Laden has been Killed". I was like "whoa" with both situations.

for osama, I was watching msnbc and then they said obama was making a surprise conference something, so I waited like an hour an a half.

For Sadaam I was in Detroit and the Fox affiliate said not to go to Dearbon because people were in the streets celebrating and acting out of control.

For Osama, I was just at home and saw a news blip go across the bottom of the screen the next day.

Not long after Osama was killed, I was still awake despite it being about 10 PM Michigan time and having to wake up at 6 AM the next morning, I was browsing my Facebook and a guy from my school had posted "OSAMA IS DEAD!! YESSSS!!" I was shocked and in disbelief and looked it up to see if it was true and it was. I don't remember Saddam though

I think someone in my family was watching the phillies game and they announced on there and everybody started cheering. I turned it on and watched a little bit of the game.

I can't remember where I was when they spoke of Saddam, but I was on OT when I learned the Osama thing. The first thing I did was watch "America **** yeah" on Youtube.

Don't remeber for Hussein.

For Bin Laden, I was at my friend's house and she showed me it on the computer, then we put on the TV to hear a statement from Obama but he took like 5 hours to get the podium so we said "F it" and changed it.

I don't know about Saddam but I was watching Sky News when Bin Laden got popped.

Yup, I was eating breakfast, looking at the paper and saw something about it.

At church when I heard about Saddam. In my living room when I found out about Osama.

No for Saddam. I just remember there was a youtube video of his death. Osama I was actually watching CNN when the story came up. mrmusicman247

I was in Afghanistan with Saddam, and @ Ft. Stewart when the other a$$ clown was taken out.

Probably asleep. I tend to sleep through current events.

I just remember these two men's moment. Primarely because they were more central in effecting my world.

during the Gulf War, Saddam nailed my city - i was living in - with scuds. killing people. and i remember vividly - even though i was really young - the air sirens going off in the night and hearing the jets roaring through distance and ovehead constantly.

and i remember Osama really because of the Al-Khobar bombings which he was accused off. My house literally shook and i was in my bed. when the bomb went off. I was in my bed, my brothers and sister were watching tv. when the ground shook i remember our house maid come running into my bed room and held me tight scared witless. my dad rushed in the house from his bedroom looking to see the kids were ok. I eventualy walked outside seeing all the hindi house drivers meeting and radios in their cars going off. you could hear police sirens and when i walked around the block in the direction of the building that was blown i could see smoke billowing in the far distance. Not to mention Osama's Al Qaeda negative impact on me -as a Muslim - around the world.

so for these two men to get caught and go down. I remember those moments.

Don't remember when they captured Saddam at all. I remember hearing about it, but I don't remember what month or where I was. Now I do remember Bin Laden's death. It was a Sunday, it was raining, and a friend of mine and I decided to go to this huge bar that was (unknown to us) going out of business slowly and there were only some people around the bar. We got to watch it on tv while listening to music and enjoying $2 you call its.
