I keep mine hairy, but I do shave the hair around my nipples, cause they're like 4 inches long and don't look the same.

Who here is also a man, and keeps that hair on their chest?

I don't have much hair on my chest, but I don't shave what's there. My back looks like astroturf, though.

I do have a mighty, but not out of control, pelt of hair on my chest which I have shaved down a bit from time to time. I wouldn't think of shaving it all off as that would be quite some work to keep the stubble from being incredibly irritating.

He was probably staring at himself in the mirror and wondering if he should do it. I don't shave.

No, I don't even shave my face because my hair grows back very quickly. Saves $30 on razor blades. But I do shave with an electric.

I don't shave it, but I do trim it down short during the summer because it gets hot as hell where I live. All the hair acts as an insulator, making me even hotter. I just don't want to overheat and die, you know? Am I not manly now? :(

Forgot to mention, it also makes swimming easier, and neater, and you don't leave any hair behind in the pool which grosses out the chicks. I also trim my package area, and armpits during the summer. :) Trim, not shave.

Body hair can actually go a long way in keeping you cool as it collects moisture. Its why it was ideal to be clean shaven back when we were nomads since if you had a beard and lived in a cold region your beard could collect moisture and cause your face to freeze and lose heat.

Hmm... then why is it when the hair in still there, it feels really hot? And after I trim it down, it feels cooler, lighter, and fresher? My overall body temp. feels lower without the hair.

I think it has to do with what we wear that makes it feel hot. If I wear silk or cotton when I'm hairy I feel incredibly cool and I used to having no hair, if I wear my running shorts or anything man made then its a different story.

Most of my clothes are made from cotton. I usually go shirtless anyway. It feels cooler without the hair.

Old male here. Shaving my chest ??? (wtf ) I am not a pro swimmer, so NO.

gf's that are shaved, isn't a big deal to me although in my day it was kind of weird. A furry triangle was just fine- we were glad just to SEE the triangle anyway!

-I also recall the old playboy mags- women were furry down there as normal. For older guys like me, women who shaved the triangle weren't really sexy just because of that. It was kinky then, but because it was seen as almost pedophile. Like a woman in a little girl dress, eating a lollypop. I haven't gone there tho!!!!! I suppose Shaved isn't kinky if everybody's doing it now.

and OMFG I can't even believe I just wrote all this

...runs away blushing....

I shave everywhere, seriously :P I find body hair so unsightly and i'm normally in shorts or getting in and out a wetsuite on the beach so I get rid of all that nasty stuff. Normally once a week i'll spend that extra time in the shower.

Why would guys bother shaving their chests

Macanada
To show off their feminine side. Shaving your chest or legs is g@y.
