I only shave the face. The rest I leave where they're at. My wife actually likes my hair where they're at.
Besides, if you start shaving body hair, they'll only get worse. What were thin, straight, almost unnoticable hair become thicker, longer, curlier and funnier-looking.
Edit:
That reminds me. Last summer, we were at the beach. I saw a woman wearing a bikini with lots of long curlies portruding from the top of her bikini bottom. My guess is she did a lot of shaving at that part.
I also have a lot of scars on my shins (from playing soccer). My leg hairs do a good job of keeping them unnoticable.
I am the same as you, 19 and extremely hairy. I shave my chest and back from time to time, but I've never even thought about shaving my arm or leg hair for the fear of being called out as gay (even though theres nothing wrong with being gay Just leave your legs alone, girls only care about hair on their own legs. photokid201I myself don't mind the hair on my lower legs (though it becomes annoying around the ankles), but I feel all the hair on my thighs look weird. I also don't mind the hair on my arms.
Your mom is right...Dudes don't shave their arms and legs. Except body builders, but they have a reason to lol.[QUOTE="jesuschristmonk"] I asked my mom about shaving at least my leg hair (most annoying area), and jokingly (I think) told me I would be gay if I did that Pirate700
I only shave my facial hair. I think I'd prefer having hairless legs but it just seems like it would take forever to get all the hair off.

If you're serious about losing your body hair, use a medical procedure to get rid of them permanently. Or try that tape thing on TV.
Shaving body hair only makes them grow longer, thicker and curlier.
keep some of hairs little. electric razor gets them small but doesn't make them grow back bad, so it's good.
get rid of some for a little 'cause they don't grow in all nice yet so they look skriggley
leave some other hairs 'cause I don't have many, like on my arms and legs.
No, I don't. I'm not bothered with it, and I think I'd look weird without any hair on my legs or arms. I do think you should shave if you have a reason: it's itching, you're a professional swimmer (to reduce drag), you've got so much hair that it actually increases your heat-sensation.
Body hair does have its uses, though. It repels a number of small insects and mosquitoes (they find it harder to bit you when you have hair -- I bet they've never bitten your head, even if it's a spot you can't see). It helps keep you warm during cold times. It's a defining difference between man and woman.
Lol sasquatch. How thick is your hair that it's a barrier to insects? No, I don't. I'm not bothered with it, and I think I'd look weird without any hair on my legs or arms. It's a known fact that having body hair reduce the amount of bites you're going to get o.o . I'm not saying anything new here. You're still going to get bitten, but it's still an obstacle.
If you didn't comprehend: I said the hair on my HEAD prevents me from being bitten there. And I know for a fact, from bald friends, that they have been bitten on the head :P .

My arms and legs are pretty damn hairy and I'm still like candy to bugs. I get bitten like mad during the summer.[QUOTE="iHarlequin"]

My arms and legs are pretty damn hairy and I'm still like candy to bugs. I get bitten like mad during the summer. The question is, would it be worse if you didn't have hair there? I don't have daily issues with mosquitoes because I live in an apartment high off the floor, but whenever I visit my parents or go to a rural setting, I have bite-issues as well.
I trim my chest, arm pit and pubic hair.. if I didn't Id look like some kind of animal.
edit: also wax my back, gotta keep that clean.

Pretty sure you wouldn't. Unless you have that werewolf syndrome issue.

I tend to shave my chest (nipple hair is weird). As for my legs they get really hairy so I trim them down with clippers but never shave them smooth. Just make them a little less furry :)
