I'm thinking of picking up some DVD's and I've noticed that they're alot cheaper on Amazon.com. Now, I've never actually used one of these websites and I was wondering if they are reliable, secure, fast, and they don't try and scam you.

Amazon is the site for me when it comes to buying movies online, not only do they sell them cheap but they help you find other places that sell for even less. Ive gotten a bunch of movies in the last few months through them, all from separate companies and cheap and in perfect shape, even the used DVDs are in good shape.I would recommend Amazon. As for ebay I couldnt tell yeah but Im always sceptical of buying from sellers who arent businesses.
i can't trust them, like one time on the news there was akid at x-mas who wanted a ps3 and his parents bought him one (over amazon) and when he opened it he got...(drama music plays)
...a phone book...

That's sad and funny.
Amazon is the best, no problems with them ever. They have a great collection of dvds and alot of foreign ones which i enjoy alot. Decent selection of cds and games to.
Never use ebay or buy.com though, heard horror stories from some firneds who have used it.
I use ebay to buy games that are not produced anymore. In fact, I just bought Banjo-Kazooie a few weeks ago for about $8, including S&H.UltimateXShadow
Great deal. I try to deal as locally as possible when looking for old games though.

Lol you must have bad memory, he baught it at wal-mart, and then walmart gave him a new one
I've used Amazon, and had some trouble in the past. Twice now they've never even sent me my item, so I've had to get a refund. :?msudude211Ah that's not nice. The only bad experience I've had with all three services is with eBay when some punk sent me a used Lab manual with dozens of pages torn out. "Very Good"
I buy stuff on ebay... but only cheap stuff, DVDs, CDs or games mostly.
I got problems on ebay in the pass, and it was something expensive, I lost a lot of money. Don't believe ebay policies telling you paypal protected crap... most peoples don't know that you must fill a dispute in 20 days and turn it in a claim, because if you don't turn your dispute into a claim, you will not touch a damn penny.
So, if the seller told you that he will deal with the problem and you close up your dispute, you are screwed...
Credit Card companies know how things turn on on ebay so they don't resolve your claim anymore, they tell you that when you deal with paypal, the problem is with paypal and the seller and not between you and the credit dard companies.
I've been screwed on ebay 3 times... 3 times that I actually lost my money... and about 5 times with illegal bootlegs copies.
On amazon, when you bought from amazon directly, you are guaranteed to receive your goods and to almost never been screwed.
