Do you still buy CD's or download music?

I download mine from iTunes and sometimes I buy CD's.
How about you

I have music in a few different formats.

Download first. If I like, I buy the CD.

I buy cds i prefer to have physical media .

Only CDs or Vinyl for me.

Unless it's something that can't be bought online for a reasonable price I buy my music in CD form.

I buy CDs for big albums (like TSO) or for albums I can't buy off of iTunes (Apcolyptica's Cult for example, that was a hard one to track down)

CDs. Collecting is fun :P. Besides, it's a pain to properly backup downloaded content.

I buy CD's in almost every case, except when I just want a single song or two from an artist I buy it off Amazon.

i can't even remember the last time i bought a CD. downloaded Gorillaz's Plastic Beach yesterday.

I can listen to almost anything I want on youtube.

It get's really expensive when you start looking for more obscure stuff as well. Some CDs I've seen go for £20, which is madness.

Not at all; I can't find a difference in sound quality between the videos uploaded and the very few CDs I have. Even if there was a crappy one, other people post better quality ones of the same song.

I still buy CDs, but not many nowadays, since I already have very good recordings of most of the music I want to own.

That's the personal part. Now the business part. Gamespot can not tolerate any admission (implied or otherwise) of piracy. Please carefully check your posts and edit as necessary to ensure that they do not in any way suggest that you pirate music. If you state in any manner that you download music BE SURE to specify that it is legal downloading.

If you simply say "I download music but sometimes I buy CDs" for instance, you will likely receive a moderation EVEN IF you download from legal sources, because you did not clearly specify that the sources are legal. GS has no choice but to be strict with this. Legal issues.

There are currently some comments in the responses which will likely be modded without editing. Please see to that. And I think it goes without saying that if you pirate music, you probably shouldn't be admitting that here.

I tend to download from iTunes most of the time (99 cents per song is INCREDIBLY reasonable) and I'll buy a CD if it's either an artist I really like, or if the packaging is wonderful.

I recently boughtthe Gorillaz "Plastic Beach" because it had a soft cover. Love those.

And I think it goes without saying that if you pirate music, you probably shouldn't be admitting that here.

The smart pirate is the one who knows where to boast and where not to boast. And of course, dressing up like a pirate to listen to your legally obtained music is just fine. :P

Considering I have my 6.1 home theater conected to my computer, I have all my music on my HDD. Most of it was ripped from CDs I own, but I also do a lot of legal downloading... support the music!

I buy CDs. But if I really like something I'll get the vinyl. :) Especially older music. :)

Thanks Ugalde. That's actually an excellent example of how a person can end up being moderated because wording implies piracy. Your first post certainly does that, as the wording suggests you will only start paying for music when a certain artist releases an album.

For safety's sake, I think you should delete your first post. Otherwise, it may end up in the queue, and a moderator may not see this post before taking action on the original one. Cheers! :)
