showers,no question..the bathtub is quite rotten if one doesn't flush the water(what a waste)
believe me,I heard from a friend of mine that someone dipped to the bathtub the other day,and he didn't flush the water "for later use",as my friend sees the tub,it's all gooey green, and it's full of germs.don't think I would use the tub for my sanitary after that..instead I used it to pile up laundry.
i do both, depends on how much time i have :p
There can only be one.

Agree to this. Showers all the way.

Why would you leave the water in the bath for "later use"? It would be cold by then...
@davillain-: question, why do we have a bathtub in the first place? and for what reason we have to fill it up with water and dump it afterwards..
this question doesn't apply for those who stayed at hotels or inns though.
@PernicioEnigma: that's the problem, some people keep the water without knowing that germs might take the dip and overtaking the tub, that's why I don't like to use tubs for that
@davillain-: question, why do we have a bathtub in the first place? .
I guess it depends on what area you'll live in but there are places that have no showers at all so the only option you have is to take a Bath but hey, I guess it's better then nothing right?
@davillain-: some people in my city,as much as I can see it, take a bath in the river banks full of disease,it's unhealthy if you must know, that's why I live in a well-developed suburban region, but I prefer shower hose and spray, which is quick, easy and save water more than the tub does
the people I mentioned are those who lived in the slums, probably the east side of the city has the most of it.
I take showers mainly. The only time I will take a bath is of I have done a lot of physical exercise and my muscles are aching like crazy, baths feel great then. Its more for comfort with baths than it is for hygiene, though.
I do both depending on what I want. I shower every day but sometimes when I have time and I want to relax I take a quick shower first and take a nice warm bath afterwards while reading a nice book or watching a movie.

Why? Why would you do that? Does this person not flush the toilet either?
Showers because all I have is a stand up shower. The only time I get a bath is when I go on vacation. You people with bathtubs. Be thankful. Be ever so thankful.
@horgen: let's just say he's in a hurry, and reckless, everyone should know proper time management,like..that person was informed to attend a special event a few hours before, when he realize it's gonna be traffic along the way whilst carried away by the warmth of the tub water.it's too late.
So the lesson is,information is needed everywhere ,so things like these will not happen again.
I shower. I don't like the feeling of having a bath. Last time I took one was to try to take the edge off a kidney stone.
I would like to use a Japanese bath. I read that they promote longevity.
you refer to onsen..yes? depends on location, the more pristine its location, the better its effects,I'll be there next year.
I guess this is an exception for taking a bath in the tub
Showers. The wife makes me clean the rings around the tub if I take a bath. Once in a while I'll take a long hot bath after a bad day in the gym. Our tubs have that whirlpool thing that's soothing to tired muscles.
Showers. I'll take a bath if I'm really sore, but only as a soak. By the time you fill the tub, the water is nearly tepid.
Baths on very rare occasions. But they're very time consuming in the morning, so showers 99% of the time.

I am referring to both their hot springs and the ones in their homes.
@BranKetra: onsen is a Japanese bath that's been featured in homes, public bath houses and some hotels,if you would like to go to Japan,it's best to look for an old house for its atmosphere, heard houses like that does have an onsen.

Yes. I am referring to those and hot springs which onsen also means.
Usually showers. It's been a while since I've taken a bath. Warm baths are relaxing, but my water heater is too small to provide enough hot water for a bath, so if I want a hot bath (and I never want a cold one), then the water would have to be boiled on the stove and then poured into the tub.
