No. Quality>>>>>>>>>>>>>Quantity.jakeboudville
Absolutely not...exept that jake guy, he's EVERYWHERE and I'm a little scared. Hi Jake guy, that sure is a lot of typing you do there.
Not really, everyone can get a high post count if they lurk around System wars for a long enough time...
Depends... not really, i can see a guy with 1 post and tell what type of person he is by that post (whether it be serious or stupid) But if there's a guy with a large post count the chances are i've seen quite a few of his posts already and tend to know that person and know his views and such.
So not really...
No... but those those post counts can get really intimidating Rocul
pssh dont listen to him hes only got 23 posts... :P
umm no not realy... there are quite a few people around who will readily suck up to the people with high post-counts though.
Ya know this is a funny topic. Typically people will say "no" but from what I have experienced elsewhere, I have to say "yes". Yes quality > quantity but newer people will usually take those who have high post counts more seriously mainly based on the fact they feel that they are well known, know the forums well, typically confident, and "experienced". I know some look at my post count and think "NEWB!" but on another forum I have over 12,000 posts and, at a risk of sound self centered, well liked by many. Also I've been registered with gamespot for over 4 years but have been actively visiting this siteway longer than that, but do I expect people to take me more seriously because of that? No.
Another factor into it is that you can make the most well thought out andwell written posts but if you don't do it often, people will forget about the post and you. People will usually take the poor advice of thosethey recognize than the good advice from the random "newb" (note: not saying that those with high post counts give bad advice or anything, just making an example :P )
The only thing you should take seriously around here are the rules and the people who enforces the rules upon you, not the people who actually are enforcers of the rules cos some of them are actually cool :P. Plus ignore all high post count people :P..kulmiyewhat?

Alot of people spam the boards with utter rubbish, I compile certain groups that I put established users in. For example there is : "The relevant posters" "The Intelligent posters" "The Spammers" and so forth.Samwel_X
Hmm....I only put them in three categories..."The Good"...."The Bad"...and "The Ugly"....:D
