Do you think having super powers is plausible?

And I mean the more plausible ones like super strength, jumping high ect.

It would be cool if some scientist was able to give a person giant bird wings.

People have been know to have supernatural gifts.  Resputin could heal, Hitler may have had..Satanic decieving ability, and some people have had a sort of ESP.  Most of the claims are false however.  I have telekenesis and some flying ability.  Do you believe me?

I believe in things that could be construed as superpowers.

Telekenisis, mental telepathy, clairvoyance. I believe certain people can move things with their minds. Not huge objects.

Who knows what the future holds though for mankind if we survive and continue to evolve.

Well, for super strength to exist, extreme muscle is needed. The human body won't move something enormous if there isn't enough muscle. Same goes for super speed and jump. If super powers like that do exist, then the person would have to be BUILT. But then they're not really super powers...

well super powers would be considered an ability that normal people can't do, or can never achieve

Perhaps as science progresses it would be possible in the cybernetic sense to enhance certain abilities but nothing approaching what one would generally regard as "super powered".

Not in this day in age. Maybe in 500 yrs plus, scientists can combine human DNA with i dunno- a wasps DNA so that you end up with Waspman. Maybe they can even creata real life spider man. Who knows- however, when that day comes, everyone may have superpowers, therefore no one will have superpowers.

It would certainly cut down on the traffic if everyone had wings though- i think scientists should focus on creating bird-man.

As for "hightened" ability type super powers- they dont exists. A psychological illusionist called Derren Brown (a really cool British guy) goes around showing people how telekenisis and psychic powers are just a load of twaddle... he even made a show where he convinced people he had messiahic abilities- CRAZY STUFF.

If were through means of revolutionary (advance) scienticific research, alien intervention or super-natural begin(s), I suppose, in matter of speaking, it could be possible.

However, with that being said, when you are deeping into something that is "unknown," I suppose, in matter of speaking, anything could be possible.

Otherwise, I would have to say "no."

I don't know about the giant bird wings, since we still haven't completely understood our nervous system...

The brain puts limitations on the body in order to keep it from inflicting harm upon itself via restricting the full abililites of the muscles. If we can bypass that (we can or I'm a freakin Arangatang.).

As for laser eyes, just...keep looking at stuff really hard or something..
