On September 18, there is going to be a 4-disc special edition of Kill Bill being released. Vols. 1 & 2 are going to be re-edited into one film, the way it was when it was released internationally. All the stuff that was cut from the U.S. versions to get an R-rating will be put back in.
I think a lot of people over hyped the movie before it came out because of Tarantino's pedigree and then were disappointed when they saw the movie. Its still a good movie but I think a lot of people were expecting the wrong thing when it came out. And people dumped all over part 2 because they were expecting more of the frenzied carnage of part 1, when in reality Tarantino was trying to make it a completely different movie while still retaining cohesion with part 1.
I thought the movie had a weak story and relied on shock value to sell tickets. I'm not one to complain about violence in movies, but it seemed to me like Kill Bill used excessive violence to mask its flaws.

Why was the story weak? It was a simple tale of revenge. Its an ode to a certain type of movie...
Kill Bill (both) is and always will be one of my favorite movies ever. I can understand why people don't appreciate it though, so I say it's just the right amount of rated.
I thought they were quite good, but really overhyped by fanboys. Any recent movie will have a LOT of fanboys, it's a new trend or something. People just tend to LOVE a movie or to HATE it, there's like no middleground. T_T
You go to imdb.com and 90% of the scores will be 1's or 10's. -__-
I really liked it. The first episode was better than the second one. I don't reallyknow about your question...it surely caught the attention of many people but can't tell you about his rating.

Because action movies are normally realistic? The movie is very comic book, but its supposed to be that way. Its not supposed to be entirely believable. Its a movie.

what stuff u normally into? because reservoir dogs and pulp fiction i believe are amazing...
however iv hated how hes "presented" hostel, the film was pretty bad for the first hour andi find out that quentin has nothing to do with the film, hes not seen once in the making of it... like he put his name on it just to trick us
