I have heard about some peope marryin certain objects in some areas. Laptops, Tooth rushes, brillopads, Viagra containers, Refrigerators, Refrigerator boxes, combs, toys, grills, ice cube, real ice cubes, plants, pictures, other electronics, tide, tide with bleach, bleach, social security cards, the weird list goes on and on. Retyping a new papaer article I read recently leading to the creation of the thread: "Mike Miller, married his pro tooth brush and says the built in vibrator function give him more pleasure than his divorced wife. "Fred Turner, married his laptop saying putting it in is unique as each key strokes a certain spot his many (supposed) sex friends have iven him, as well as providing a unique taste while licking around the edges and into the CD Drive." Tina Weller decided to join with her box of count 16 donuts. Saying each donut provide some small amount of food, as well as physical usae as a husband, reporting that dipping it in herself and tasting it afterwards added flavor." "Osuk Wangdang, joined his bible in holy matrimony. He said the book is all he really needs in life and such find craftsman ship deserved a lovin husband. However, he did admit the Bile was really the form of jesus and god which he believed to be guys, and had no problem chaining to a homosexual status in order to marry his gay book." "many of these continue and are becoming slightly more frequent. Many states stand against these actions, but there in reality, are not laws in most preventing these kind of marriages. A particular rise in this was during the fall of economics during the year of 2008. It has also been improving number wise in other countries as well." So that was in the times, and i ask the question, is this right? Do you care if people do this? Do you think this should be allowed? Personally for me no. This should be illegal. They are inanimate objects, i can see many scams this can be used for, and in the future if we allow this it might be accepted in the future, and soon it will be a protected practice where we could be thrown in jail, fired, or etc. for insulting or harassin people about it. 20 to life, hate crime for breakin freds pencil while fred was married to the pencil. First Degree. BS, stop this crap now.

They need mental help. Also a way to get tax cuts if made legal. I'd marry by xbox for a tax break. ;) I am mentally fine, just greedy beyond measure.

If somebody actually prefers "marrying" an inanimate object rather than a human, then it's probably best they don't mix with the rest of the population any more than absolutely necessary.

It's fricking weird and creepy imo, but if that's what they want and it doesn't hurt anyone then fair play.

So long as it's legal and doesn't bring harm to anyone, they should be able to do what they want. It's definitely a bizarre thing to do though nonetheless, but if everyone in the world followed the norm, this would be a really boring world.

I don't care. It's not like it can hurt the inanimate object. The 'couple' can have the same rights as people, but modified to fit the er... needs of the item. Like, if you marry a TV and the TV breaks, the government doesn't pay for its' 'healthcare'. Or if you leave all your belongings to a book, it would be contestable by a family member on the grounds that the object does not have the mental capacity to manage an estate. There would be boundaries to prevent fraud or scams, and if you are found to have committed one, just like marriage fraud with another human, there are consequences. The only thing I oppose in terms of marriages and sexual relationships is animals and humans. Just no. Also, doughnut broad 'dips it in herself'? That's effing nasty. That sounds like something out of a really really cheap, bad porn.

Personally I am in favour of people doing it and I am just waiting till it catches on more.

Then I am going to open up my new Inanimate Object Divorce Law practice which will be quite entertaining when I divest these morons of half their wealth.

Lol at this bird using her axe wound as dipping sauce for donuts. Couldn't make that up. But um, I can't say I care enough to demand legal restrictions. It is silly and disturbing to some extent, but do I really care? Is anyone getting hurt? No.

Agreed. I fully support the 'if it doens't hurt anyone' notion but to a point. How anyone can honestly condone being able to marry inanimate objects really says a lot about the state of our society. Society has completely gone to shlt once marrying a coffee table is seen as OK. I couldn't care less of someone wants to have 'relations' with a Lamp but to actually be able to have a LEGAL binding of man and Lamp, approved by the government, is just absolute lunacy.

No one said "loving" non-living objects was wrong, just not to that extent. I love my Xbox 360, but that doesn't mean stick my valuables into the disk drive, nor does it mean I want to dedicate myself to it and think of it as a "partner", in that context.
