Yes I feel like it is a defense mechanism. We are attacking earth, and so earth is trying to destroy us! It's not a living entity with a conscious but I still believe it's a defense mechanism

Just had an enlightening conversation with my friend about this, and im just curious to know about what others think. Do you think that nature and the earth in general are fighting back against the destructive nature of humanity? I mean with all the natural disasters and disease that are occuring more frequently you would think that nature has had its toll with humankind and what we do to our environment. Ever recorded? Our records of weather paterns were crap like 200 years ago. Seing as the Earth is around 4.54 billion years old, I don't see how you know the weather is worse now then ever before. I hate stupid logic.

Well our technology is quite insignificant compared to the power of nature so why would mother nature want to defend itself from US?
