Dawn is used as a name in English. O.o Gry doesn't sound very cool though, imo. No offense to the Gry's out there. o.o I don't think lights fits very well, cause the S makes it a name for more than one object.

It's not like her parents named her "Lights". She simply took on her stage name as her legal name. Aside from her situation, I don't think Lights is a very good name.
well, I'd say it was a horrible name but she looks like one of those typical young open-mic coffee shop kind of girls and those girls usually hang out with the goth kids that give themselves stupid nicknames like Raven or Phoenix... so "Light", less cliche than normal I guess, half a thumb up
im not one for observational names like lights, dawn, rose, and ginger. lights in particular though. assuming her parents actually named her that (which i doubt), it sounds like they were playing i spy immediately after her birth. i suppose it couldve been worse though, like "a" for "afterbirth."
