Do you think "mythical" creatures existed at one point in time?

For instance, dragons appeared in cultures all over the world long before these countries had continuous contact with one another.

Or a unicorn. Is it far-fetched to think that unicorns existed (with the exception of the flying part).

I'm sure a lot of stuff is exaggerated, but I'd say it's somewhat based in fact.

Maybe it was strange fossils they found?

Once a flightless and mighty bird roamed New Zealand. They say it preyed on men. Out of fear it was called the 'Dodo' which must have translated into meaning "Hunter of Humans".

According to religion (christianity ) there was a dragon , The one Saint george slayed and that was send by the devil or something like that and ironically it is said to be slain someplace in the capital of my country (lebanon ) beirut , and what is weird abot this is that i go to that place a lot :S I might have stand where a dragon may have been slayed :P

According to religion (christianity ) there was a dragon , The one Saint george slayed and that was send by the devil or something like that and ironically it is said to be slain someplace in the capital of my country (lebanon ) beirut , and what is weird abot this is that i go to that place a lot :S I might have stand where a dragon may have been slayed :P

Every myth has a grain of truth in it,so I don't see why dragons,unicorns and other creatures couldn't have existed in the past.

I always wondered why in stories and tales the unicorns only let the beautiful maidens ride him.

In this world I believe anything is possible. I'd like to see some fossils and or museums displays ala T-rex!

Dragons and unicorns? No, they didn't exist. Many dragon myths emerged from fossil finds that were misunderstood way back before people had any knowledge of dinosaurs. Alligators and crocodiles were also considered 'dragons' by early europeans exploring Africa. I have no idea where unicorns came from though.

Bigfoot does exist however. I thumb-wrestled him the other day and won. He has big feet but tiny thumbs.
