What is the latest president to be put on currency? I'm pretty sure that most are over a century old, like George Washington, Abe Lincoln and Andy Jackson.metroidfood

They would need to invent a new denomination or a new edition of a current one, because I doubt they would just remove a president from a currency for Barack Obama.

He's half black. And if McCain wins why not put Palin on some money? It's not likely, only 1 president has been put on a bill after the 19th century and that was Woodrow Wilson on the 100,000 bill...Thats a real bill people. JFK was the last on the 50 cent piece...So unless Obama wins and gets killed not likely for a while. Based more on what he does.

At the rate we're going with inflation, 1 and 2 dollar bills might be about as useful as a half cent by 2080.

If he wins and does a decent job, he will because he was the first African American president.

I think it will be sooner than 2080 though, if it happens, I think JFK is on some form of money.

He will probably be on a new bill if he does get put on a bill.

It's widely believed that the $2 bill was discontinued.

This however is just an urban legend.

They are in fact still in circulation.

It's just rare for the banks to give them out, except upon request.
