In some instances I do, i find myself wasting time on the internet and playing games, when there are better things I could be doing with that time.mattes2542The only point to life, I think, is to enjoy your time that you have. No matter what others' standards are. If you spend alot of time on the internet playing games and you're having a good time, so be it. If it's all you ever do in your life but you have fun, then all the power to you.
The pro's:
Helps with information, business and organization
Games
Family interactivity
Â
Cons:
Makes people lazy...
expensive at times
warranties sucks, but may come useful.Â
It sounds like people are misunderstanding...or forgetting what technology is. When man invented the wheel, lever, pulleys, etc. That is considered technology. Without technology, we would be naked, homeless people walking around doing everything with our bare hands.The_MadcapThats true but it doesnt mean technology hasn't had any negative impacts. And some good things from yesterday are fading away if not gone already.

whaaa?
Technology advancements improve the life span of people:wink:Good impact on human life? Well that's debatable. Good impact on life in general absolutly not. We are destroying this planet. Humans are a cancer on this planet. If you're flying over the US you see all this beatufl landscape... then you come to say, LA and what do you see? The equivelent of a tumor. We're gonna destroy this thing till theres nothing left of it. I mean in another 10 years there probably wont even be any polar bears in the wild anymore... and whats that mean? Well since polar bears eat a lot of seals theres probably going to be too many of those... and since theres too many of those theres probably not gonna be a whole lot of fish for them to each... and so on and so forth... its just a massive chain. And thats just if you get rid of polar bears.
We're killing all sorts of things, and depresion rates are skyrocketing. I read some statistic that said in like 5 years depression will be the leading cause of people... something... i dont know, but it was some huge ass statistic and it struck me as insane. But yeah bottom line is with the huge advances of human technology comes a really messed up world.
The thing is even if the US cleans up its act (which its not going to thank you republicans) we're still pretty screwed because china is just now industrializing... so thats a hell of a lot of polution coming in from there. Same with India. You know what else technologies brought us? A hell of a lot of horrible weapons that kill people... Such as nuclear bombs.
Anyways technology can do a lot of really cool amazing things... save lives... blah blah blah... so yeah i guess its good for human life... in the short run. But in the long run since humans live on earth and earth is going bye bye i guess i would have to say no. But no question its bad for life on earth as a whole.
And so ends my first post.

I would say so yes, humans were never intended to reach the high 80's/90's and as our bodys break down from within life is still being stretched onwards
IMO if any age humans were probably meant to become around the 50's
By that i conclude that not all medicine are good. Sure organ transplants are great and people cant do without theyr peniccilin these days. but on long term humans as a breed simply cant keep up with theyr own advancements.
Simply put technology should be put on hold to give mother nature the chance to work her magic.
...but first we have to work out that global warming and shortage of fossil fuels.
What?! Of course not. Technology refers to more than just electronic goods. Technology is any tool or method that makes work more efficient.
Our lives are more complicated now do to technology, and as technology increases our lives become even more complicated... we work faster then ever before and have less free time... I wish technology freezed around the victorian era... before the car was invented.... maybe after the steam engine was... just something more... simple. it's nice we have all of this medicine but we also now have things like obesidy etc. plauging the system. Sure we have more entertainment but at what cost? We sit in traffic all day long, our air is polluted and people now suffer from asthma at increased rates...
I haven't lived in past times, but it was a more simple life back then, and perhaps that is what we need, something... more simple.
