I watched star trek and they said they use no money in their society and that made poverty go away. I think having no money would help technology go faster and better. I think it would be better for the world.

First step is getting away from oil not money..Get rid of the oil problem first than work on the money situation..Hitler may have been a total looser..How ever he was a smart dude..He got his country away from gold..It was a cash cow, it was unreal how much money germany had..Im not sure if the country is still the same way..All i know is America needs a fix..Even the world is having problems look at greece..Its a sad sad situation really..Things need to change for the world..
Nah, money is a fantastic motivator so we'd get nothing done.AirGuitarist87Ah, yes, this false assumption again. People would not be lazy for lack of money to motivate them. Many men do great things without any desire for money. I'd list them but they're so many of them it's just that obivous.
Money allows huge populations of people to be exploited by privatized banking. For example.. I go to work, I want to get paid but for me to get paid I have to bring my check to a bank.. the bank will cash my check but only if I pay them a fee, or open an account with the bank. It is not longer a service.. the only way I can obtain what I believe I worked for is by paying somebody to pay me or giving them my business guarenteing them constant cash flow.
It's a joke. All this does is prevent me from investing my time and resources into something more productive because we have all these third party entities exploiting us.
You obviously know nothing about economics. This is an extreme form of communism and would simply not work.gamebreakerz__Keep in mind he used Star Trek as an example, where they have the technology to sustain a form of Communism. Basically, they can replicate any resource they need.
Certainly in a world with limitless resources/supply, there is no need for money. But we don't live in one of those.

So...open a bank account then. :| Seriously, I've had my bank account since I was fourteen years old. In that time, my bank has never lost any of my money, made it unavailable to me, or taken me in any way because of it. This is a totally paranoid rant.Ah, yes, this false assumption again. It isn't a false assumption, it's common sense. Nigh on everything a person does in their life is to benefit themselves; financial, emotional or otherwise. I have to say, I do enjoy the "it's so obvious I don't need to back up my claims" internet people have. The second part of what you said is...well, pointless. I've had the same bank account since I was a nipper and everything I've been paid has gone in in full. In fact, with interest I've actually made money. I've no idea what bank you've been going to, but you need to change it.Please Log In to post.
