If you land on your feet there's a decent chance you'd live. If you land on your back though, probably not. The spine would shatter on impact, and even if it didn't due to distribution of force, the skull still wouldn't stand a chance. Even assuming that by some divine miracle you do manage to live you'd probably be living in a wheel chair or a bed for the rest of your life.
BTW, what made you want to ask this question? Are you planning to jump off your roof for a dare or something?

If you jumped from that high, the shock would be too unbearable it would go to your brain and your body would shut down.
Damn I had an idea it would kill you, 15 ft too though thats crazy:?
Now would a fall from about 30 ft on your back into water kill you, you think? Im not trying it but am jus curious. I wouldnt think it would though I mean some Olympic divers do like 50 ft dives so I would think maybe a 70 foot fall would get yah.

into water?? I wouldnt think so...i think it might hurt really bad though, because hitting still water is pretty much hitting cement...but after you break through the surface of the water i think you should be fine...it would hurt extremly bad though...
im not an expert so i wouldnt know for sure.....

There are people who do backflips off of two and three story buildings for fun, land on their feet, and come away without a scratch. Its very possible to survive a jump from 30 feet, assuming you land correctly. A fall becomes lethal most of the time once you hit 60 feet (though even then there are some lucky people who survive. There's a lot of stories, for instance, of people who had skydiving accidents where the parachute didn't open or opened too late and they survived, in some cases with just a few bruises). I'd link a source for that (the 60 foot thing), but I forgot where I read that (it was a news article about some kid who died from falling off his balcony and they quoted some rescue worker who recited the survival rates for different heights). Granted concrete definitly shortens the height from which you can fall and live (it sure as hell aint 60 feet if you hit concrete), but the shock won't pass through your legs to your brain. If it did, that means your body is pretty much red paint on the sidewalk, since everything below your head would absorb the force first (which means it would all be shattered). So if you land on your feet you legs may be destroyed along with your spine, but you'd still be alive.

Yes it would kill you. You would break everything including you skull. If it didn't kill you, you sure would wish you were dead. :|VetteMan85
yeah...you'd need some morphine or some other really good pain killer for that one..
Or maybe badly injure em? A 30 ft fall onto concrete landing on your back, like if you did a flip? I mean sure it would seem like it would hurt someone but not sure if it would kill em. 30 ft is pretty high though cause in a pool 20 feet is like unreachable at the bottom.compaq345682
