There are parts of the city where its nice and other parts where buildings are run down. But overall, I would say that its pretty s*****.

Yep. It's quaint:

There's only 4 streets and they all look like that.

No. Most of San Diego is an old, run down dump.

It looks much like stereotypical suburbia.

Except downtown, that place looks like a bunch of buildings from the 1700s, because they are.

A lot of it, especially downtown, is old and run-down. And one building is haunted :? I'd say it's a 5 on niceness (is that a word?) on a scale of 1-10.

It's "robust" to say the least, it has enough services to live entertained, but also extremely rural when desired, and it's the largest oasis in the country of sand and dust. Most people consider it a slum though. :P

Indy has always been a nice looking city and with the superbowl coming up everywhere is getting rehauled. Stay away from the eastside though.

Victoria's a nice looking city, barring Esquimalt. So is Vancouver...as long as you avoid East Hastings.

I like Windsor. It's got its bad areas, like any city does, but it also has some really nice areas. Example: We also get some high-profile events being in close proximity to Detroit, like the Red Bull Air Races:

The scenery is undeniably beautiful. The architecture in various parts of the city is iffy, though. Some parts look pretty ghetto, while other parts look all nice and new. That said, I spend most of my time on campus so I don't see the bad-looking parts all too often.

It looks pretty okay.
I live a bit away from downtown; the houses near downtown have trees everywhere. There's still lots of trees up where I am, but not making a canopy over the trees.

Downtown can be nice because there's lots of older buildings.
Facing the waterfront:

Facing the other way (the fort looks really low in this one... It's a decent sized hill though):

I think those pictures are a bit dated though. The white building behind the fort in the second picture is gone now I think.

edit: Man those are bad pictures

Eh. I dunno.

No, I do enjoy the crime rate from a distance though. Someone tried to rob a bank in Miami Springs and the whole county was following him with shotguns.

its the largest city in new hampshire (which means its pretty small) and its full of leftover textile mills from the industrial revolution. i like the old mills and all, but i have to admit that it looks like something dickens would write about.

It has some nice spots, but there's constant urbanization, so it's all changing to concrete.

Well the new part where I live is nice. The older part isn't but still looks great for being 100+ years old. Plus its one of the safest places you can be. Nothing really exciting happens though.

Aesthetically, my city is your usual New England city, lots of shops and restaurant chains. Tons of hotels, you can find at least 4 major hotels within each region of the city. Apparently we're the fastest growing city in the Northeast and our unemployment rate is one of the smallest in Connecticut.

I'm personally used to it, but I can see where someone would think it looks nice. Especially the near the lake. Certain areas outside Main Street are ratholes though.

No. My hometown is going broke and breaking apart. A few of the smaller cities around are nice looking, but it's mostly all overshadowed by the gaudiness that is Nashville. I lived in Knoxville for a while though and it's nice and classy with lots of character. There's some pictures of it in the link, which isn't my site btw. http://kathydalwood.blogspot.com/2009/11/architecture-knoxville-old-city.html

Lake Oswego, it's a nice little town about 10 miles from Portland. I'd have to say it looks pretty nice!
