According to live news (expect it on CNN front page in 5 minutes, I'll post it then.) It had been arranged for Zimmerman to, for his safety, leave his home state and move to avoid any kind of physical, emotional, or associative dangers. I know that there are people who believe he did it on purpose, and some who believe he did it in self-defense, so do you think that he does not deserve this burden that is placed upon him? Changing states?
He does not deserve to have to change states, but it is truly the best thing to do for his safety. There is so much protesting on the outcome of the trial, that I would not be surprised if he ended up being murdered by a black person if he stayed in his hometown and homestate. :(
Zimmerman is probably most safe in Florida anyways, where redneck families still have photo albums of all their lynching trophy photos and maybe an ear or two stuck to the pages, where gas stations run by Koreans will still sell you Confederate flags and t-shirts and and bandanas sporting the Confederate flag. Yes, he's probably most safe there.
Zimmerman doesn't deserve it. However, the people who were beaten or killed during the LA Riots in 1992 didn't deserve to be beaten or killed either. Fact of the matter is some people don't think rationally, especially when you consider the people who openly sent death threats to Zimmerman on their Twitter pages. If anything, Zimmerman and his immediate family should consider leaving the country and anybody with the last name Zimmerman may want to watch their backs too.
