i use a box fan for the "white noise". I have a hard time sleeping without a fan. i dont like to hear myself breathing, or the noises the house makes. i like the constant dull noise of a box fan.

Yes, for the exact same reason as you. I can't sleep without the fan noise.

No, but I have the air conditioner set to 65 all through the summer.

Yes, it gets expensive, but I can't sleep unless it's really cold.

Nope. Although I've gotten into the habit of falling asleep to podcasts, and now that I think about it I've probably been doing that for at least two years now. It's not a white noise, but falling asleep to silence is now weird.

I used to because it was so damn hot, but then I kept getting sore throats in the morning, so I stopped.

Yep. I always have a small desk fan running when I'm asleep. I hate complete silence.

Nope. I can't fall asleep in complete silence either though, so I set the TV to go off after 30 minutes or so.

Same. But before I had air condition money I used a box fan. I just can't sleep without some sort of air flow. I use my TV for noise.

Nope. Between work, classes, family, video gaming, and gym, my day is full. I'm in La La Land within a few minutes of lying down.

Air conditioner's too expensive, so I run 3 fans on full blast 24/7 all year round. Somehow that's cheaper than air conditioning.

Only in the summer. My wife hates being warm at night an likes the fan running at max. No AC. I don't care either way, I stay the same temp year round. My wife refers to it as Furnace.

yep. doesn't matter if it's 100F or -20F outside/inside, I simply can't fall asleep without the noise. I got a stand fan that's pretty much damn near industrial strength.

I love it freezing when I sleep in my room so I have it on when I can. In the winter I leave my window open.

I have a ceiling fan that's kind of screwed up so it makes clicky sounds when it rocks back and forth. I can barely fall asleep without the sounds of the fan.

When I hear myself breathing I only need to clear my nose and then it's all good. You must be one heavy breather or something!

I don't like fans while I sleep. it just dries out my nose and my throat hurts a little when I wake up. I do like it very cold when I sleep though.

I sleep nude in a queensized bed with a double duvet. No, I don't use a fan. I grew up in the country, in a small village, and I could hear the house creak, my own breathing and my family rustling around (I'm the youngest, had different bedtimes than my older siblings, blablabla). When we moved to the city, I suddenly got a shock because of the big sound change. I can hear the street, the traffic during rush hour, all of that as well as the house and my family. I've gotten used to the noise now, and it's actually more difficult to fall asleep in a more quiet area.
